Hi Everyone
I have just retired and love lockdown!
Actual time at home after 46 years working…bliss
I look forward to a lovely Summer and time in our pool every day.
I love our garden, I knit, I sew, I embroider, I read, I have one cow and a miniature horse and eight chickens and my bestie beagle.
I am visited every day by cockatoos and a pair of kookaburras.
Cheryl
Hi Cheryl. You're right, that sounds like quite the life  What was your profession before you retired?

Welcome Goanna! So happy you've joined :) I can guarantee that most retirees feel that way at first but once you get into a comfortable routine its so difficult to imagine going back to work! What would you do part time if you did?

Hi Joyce! welcome... we're happy to have you. You sound like you have a full, happy life. What is your favourite reading genre?

HI everyone, I'm Karen. I'm a retired mother of 6, grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 2, so far. My hobbies are reading and crochet.
I had a lovely day on Sunday, I went to visit my son and his family for the first time in over 5 months. Hopefully soon I'll be going to see another son and his family, it has been over 6 months since I've seen them. Lockdown was certainly a trying time.
I live in Wollongong which is an hour and a half south of Sydney.

Hi Karen! Wow you are so blessed to have such a big family. How old is your youngest child?

Well I love dealing with customers so a part time in a Customer Service role would suit me to a T

Hi Everyone, I am an old biddy but still keep on keeping on. The lockdown was so boring except for the fact that I had 3 great- grand children born from May to August! That makes 9 great grand kiddies! What a wonderful blessing! On the last weekend I had the happiest time meeting two of them ,a beautiful boy and a darling little girl. Overall, girls are not well represented in my big family but who cares? I love them all!!! How blessed I am!
