Well I love dealing with customers so a part time in a Customer Service role would suit me to a T
I have to say that's very brave! I've never heard anyone say they enjoy customer service. What kind of work did you do before?

Hi Everyone, I am an old biddy but still keep on keeping on. The lockdown was so boring except for the fact that I had 3 great- grand children born from May to August! That makes 9 great grand kiddies! What a wonderful blessing! On the last weekend I had the happiest time meeting two of them ,a beautiful boy and a darling little girl. Overall, girls are not well represented in my big family but who cares? I love them all!!! How blessed I am!
Hi Pambi! You are really blessed, my goodness 🥰 Do you have any pictures of your grandkids to share if you don't mind?

Came from NZ in '85. Havnt looked back, never regretted the move. As life moved on I worked as a welder. Married, moved around in Queensland. Decided to close the business and go travelling, working as we went. Always had a few health issues. Both of us put on the Dis. Pension, that slowed us down. We moved on, doing the best we can. So I now care for my wife. Try and make the most of the time we have, keep smiling. Hope you day is treating you well. Cheers.

Hi @Donk! You sound like an angel here on earth. How old are you and your wife if you don't mind my asking?

Hi and welcome 😄 I hope you'll have fun figuring it out. The forum is a great place because it's a safe space for you to share your opinions and even engage in healthy debate if you'd like to. Otherwise we just like to goof around with the jokes and riddles and other bits.

Would you mind telling us a bit more about your arts and crafts?

Apologies, Admin, I posted before introducing myself. I'm recently retired and live on the the Darling Downs. The rose in my profile photo was given to me by my darling husband on Valentine's Day this year. He does not grow his own - he asked one of our neighbours for one of her amazing roses - he's creative that way! Hmm, did I say 'darling' husband? Some days I'm worried that he's turned into that well-known phenomenon - the grumpy old man!!

Hi! No need to worry :) And... you're lucky to have a husband who is still thoughtful even though he may be grumpy too! :giggle: perhaps you'll be interested in taking up gardening in your retirement and he'll have a rose to pick from your garden instead next year?

Do you have any exciting plans for retirement?

The only gardening I'm good at is watching him mowing the lawn!! No big plans except a few local trips to catch up with family and friends, and then a long overseas trip next year to catch up with our loved ones there.

Oh, that's lovely! Where will you be going overseas?

I have taken up resin art since COVID lockdowns and am really enjoying the process. It has led me to dabbling in other abstract forms such as alcohol ink art and acrylic pouring (more affordable when learning). I hope to get good enough to hang something on my wall🙄Here is a box I did for a friend. My first commission piece!

Hi Leeta! I'd love to hear where that name comes from since it's so different to your own.
It was my chat name in chat rooms, I tried everything to do with Christine but it was all taken, I am a huge Star Trek fan and at the time an advertisement for a Star Trek series was on TV and the character Leeta was shown on TV and I used that with my fave number and I was born!! lol

This is amazing! It really looks like the ocean. I hope you'll be getting loads more commissions after this.

What does the alcohol ink art look like?

Hahaha 69 is your favourite number? Touche :ROFLMAO: I didn't actually realise that was a Star Trek character. I've only ever seen the films - which I loved!

I really like the candles! Purple and blue are my favourite colours. The plate is also really cool. Please share more of your work with us as you go along :)
