MyGov email Scam

Hi All, I recieved an email from mygov... but it's a straight out scam, don't click on the link, and be careful.
I have attached a screen shot as you can see it's addressed to undisclosed-recipients and look at the sender.mygov scam.jpg

I have received a similar one. I delete then check my MyGov account for messages. Of course there are none

My MyGov refuses to acknowledge me and does not accept my ID proof. Really don’t know why I have the idiot thing on the phone at all since Covid is ‘over’.
It’s not as if I use it.

of course it is a scam first look at the email it is from then look who it is to it clearly states Undisclosed recipient if that don't send alarms bells then I have no idea I have also sent in emails like this to this forum Scams are everywhere now I get them brom American presidents and their wifes and from Canada bank they are everywhere so be vigilant is all I can say

I have had the MYGOV scam so many times lately. and another one from PAYPAL saying that someone has bought a McAfee subscription in my name for over $500. I did report it to SCAM Watch but no reply from them.

I'm getting these in a text message from mygov followed by random letters.
I've blocked 2 in the past week.

I received an email from MyGov on my phone this morning with a note from Google telling me that they have checked and it is genuine. I don't believe it is genuine at all because they have asked me to give all my details to verify my account. I think someone is scamming Google to make these letters appear to be real when they are not really genuine. Be watchful everyone.

Not only MyGov but.. 2. E - M messages supposedly from the Commonwealth Bank was received
All in one day..hello That is not my bank..

First thing I look at is the senders address, always sussie.
Emails from MyGov go to my MyGov email box.

Same here. Go straight to site to check

ALWAYS look at the address that the email comes from... it is a HUGE indicator that the email is/is not a scam. And, if the email asks for ID of any sort... it is more than likely a scam.

Always check the sender's e-mail address.

I think that in this case the sender's e-mail address of @davedoesporn might be a hint that it's not genuine.... 😅

I've received much more convincing scam myGov e-mails and I immediately check the sender's e-mail address, then go to myGov....via the Internet, NOT via the e-mail...and see if there is actually a genuine message for me. More often than not, there isn't a message, which proves that the e-mail is not genuine.

The sender's email address contains "@davesoldporn.com".

If that doesn't give you a clue to its authenticity, it's time to go to Specsavers.

If you're on a computer/laptop put your mouse over the link then look down to the bottom left corner, that will show the address of where the link goes and it's always shonky.
Plus they always address you as "your name" not some random customer etc.

SCAM Watch won't reply to your emails etc. They will just check it and add it to the ever growing list of spam emails/texts etc.

Just I have penned before do not click on any link.
I had one this morning

I just got this one, will they ever learn that the majority of us ignore them..
Centrelink was a typo 😂
