Facebook user Suzanne has shared in a post that she had been attempting to pay for her items at the Coles Arana Hills store until a storm abruptly cut the power to the shopping centre. The outage barred her from being able to process the payment on her mobile phone.

Just as she was thinking of returning her items back to the shelves, Josie, a Coles worker who had just finished her shift for the day and was waiting in line with her to pay for her own items, stepped in to help. Without any hesitation, the superstar employee decided to pay for all of Suzanne’s groceries out of her own pocket. This moving act prompted Suzanne to reach out to the Coles bosses to commend the wonderful employee.

Suzanne shares Josie’s random act of kindness on Facebook.
The Coles management team responded to Josie’s act of kindness by saying how proud they were of her.

“At Coles, we see examples of team members going above and beyond for customers every day,” the spokesperson said.

“We are proud to hear that team member Josie from Coles Arana Hill was able to assist this customer; hopefully this will inspire similar acts of kindness within the store and community.”

If this didn’t make you feel all warm inside, we don’t know what will!

Just goes to show you can't lump all of todays youth into one category of selfish and self serving. There are good people out there but like I used to tall my kids random acts of kindness and helping others will not get your name in the papers. Breaking the law and aggression will.:( Far too often good deeds go unrewarded.

Over the years I have found all the staff at our Coles at Kenmore Village are wonderful. My husband and I are both in wheelchairs and the Coles staff help us in so many ways I doubt we could manage without them.
We actually gave up shopping at other supermarkets because the Kenmore Coles staff are so brilliant.
