Some good advice:
If you don't ask then the answer is already "no".
And if not NOW then when?

After l lost my 1st husband at only 24. My dad said a year later. One day we will look back on this time and find things to laugh at. It was true years later we'd laugh about funny things we did or he said. Time heals

Many years ago when my children were young and the house was upside down, my neighbours mother told me to Make the beds, do the dishes and your housework is done.

Life always has a fork in the road. What ever road you take do not look back as there is another ahead. If you say I should have taken the other you will be miserable because you do not know that you would be better off. So enjoy the roads you have taken and enjoy life for what choices you have made.

The best way to save is:- divide your spending into three columns.
Have to $. Need to $. Left over $$.
Have to, are all expenses that are non negotiable. ie:- rent, or mortgage, power, reg. Ins. Rates. Borrowings. Med. ins.

Need to:- food, fuel, medical, clothing etc.
Daily or weekly unknowns.

If by then your estimated budget has anything left over, put it into the third column, and save it. Amazingly it mounts up overtime.
My niece did this, and saved enough in 2 years, to pay me back for the car I sold her and bought a new sofa with the remainder.

Do to others what you would have them do to you.
(my mother quoting from the bible)

A piece of advice from my dear departed Mum "Love all, trust a few, but always paddle your own canoe".

When I was a kid my Dad always said that there is no such word as can't, ever time I said that I can't do something Dad would say "There is no such word as can't" That has stuck with me all my life.

My mum used to say " always greet the day with a smile and be glad your Alive! Because many don't get that opportunity!!"

My dear old Dad said to me, David if you make a mistake admit it, learn from it and move on. If you don't admit your mistake it will be on your mind for ever. David

My Grandmothers advice when I was a child
When you get up in the morning have a good long look in the mirror and when you think you are perfect only then will you be able to judge others
She then said but that day will never come , think about it
