Food blogger Adrian Widjy, the man behind Places in Sydney, shared a video that has captured the attention of thousands.

In the footage, he demonstrates the ease of preparing the pork crackle popcorn–just shake the pack, pop it in the microwave, and wait for the magic to happen.

As the pork skins puff up and the popping sound subsides, you know you're in for a treat.

The result? A snack that looks and smells like the real deal, with a satisfying crunch that's sure to please any snack aficionado.

With a whopping 70 per cent protein content and zero sugar, it's not just a treat for your palate but also aligns with certain dietary preferences.

This snack is especially suitable for those following a Keto or Atkins diet.

The response to this snack has been overwhelmingly positive, with social media users sharing their own experiences.

‘Yes, it’s my night shift snack!’ exclaimed one happy customer, while another reminisced, ‘The best! I first had them in the States years ago.’

Many online users expressed their excitement at the thought of trying the new snack.

‘I need this in my life,’ said one.

For those who are always looking for something new to try, or perhaps those with dietary restrictions but still want to indulge in a savoury treat, Mr Hamfrey’s Microwavable Pork Crackle seems like a winner.

It's a testament to how supermarkets like Woolworths cater to their customers' diverse tastes and needs, offering affordable and enjoyable innovative products.

The science of how they do this is fascinating.

Dopamine, the neurotransmitter responsible for pleasure, lights up like a Christmas tree when we indulge in these treats, creating a memory loop that associates such snacks with good feelings.

This ‘dopamine reward pathway’ is precisely what companies aim for when designing addictive snacks.

Woolworths' offering of the pork crackle popcorn is a masterstroke; merging the familiar joy of preparing popcorn with the decadent pleasure of pork crackle into a snack that's as psychologically rewarding as it is palatably delightful.

Smart marketing capitalises on these cravings, too. The term 'comfort food' is thrown around in the food industry like confetti, illustrating the powerful link between food and emotional well-being.

Packaging, advertising, and positioning in the store all play into the hands of these cravings, making it nearly irresistible to add such snacks to your shopping basket.
This product is a perfect example of how you can enjoy a delicious treat without the guilt or the hefty price tag.

Always on the lookout for a new snack? Some Aussies are losing their mind over a brand-new flavour of this beloved snack, you should check it out!

Well it has rice flour in it (only small amount) so that cuts it out for keto and Atkins. No grains for them. Also not sure about the yeast extract. I'd buy pork belly on special or pork strips and take the rind off and cook it in an air fryer oven. Does a great job and no additives other than a bit of salt if you want it
