Woolworths announces major offerings for Everyday Rewards members

If there's one thing that resonates with every Aussie, it's the thrill of a good bargain.

Especially amid today's economic turmoil, the quest to maximise the value of our shopping budget in the face of rising living expenses has taken centre stage.

For those who are part of Woolworths' Everyday Rewards program, their loyalty is about to pay off in a truly exciting manner.

Woolworths is enhancing its commitment to retaining customer loyalty by providing exclusive savings for Everyday Rewards members.

Starting August 23, Woolworths supermarkets and Metro stores are introducing a new feature: in-store and online Member Prices, accessible solely to Everyday Rewards members.

How to Access Exclusive Member Specials

If you're already a member, begin shopping for products marked with an Everyday Rewards Member Price shelf ticket (orange symbol shown above) at Woolworths. Scan your Everyday Rewards card at the in-store checkout.

For online orders, shop the products marked with a Member Price symbol, and ensure that your registered Everyday Rewards Card is added to your account before finalising the transaction at checkout.

If you're not a member, you can join online or by using the QR code in-store. Start shopping and scan your Everyday Rewards card at checkout. Savings will be automatically applied during checkout.

Different offers are available every week, allowing customers to enjoy Member Prices on a diverse range of in-store and online products.

Initial offers include purchasing three items from the Greenseas Tuna 95g range for just $4.50. These items are ordinarily priced at $2.60 each, resulting in an immediate savings of $3.30.

Customers can also take advantage of a deal that features two Woolworths Snack Pots for $10, which saves $4 compared to the usual price of $7 per pot.

This announcement follows Woolworths launching its 'Prices Dropped for Spring' campaign. Over 450 in-store products have seen price decreases, including lamb roasts, white potatoes, and fresh bagged salads, estimated to save consumers around 17 per cent on their shopping lists on average.

Natalie Davis, Woolworths Supermarkets' Managing Director, shared that the initiative was a response to customers' need for financial relief.

'Our research shows that customers are using more hacks to save on their grocery shops. Buying products on special is at the top of the list, with meal planning not far behind,' she said.

'With this in mind, we looked at how we could create healthier meal ideas, including affordable lamb roast, weekday dinners and healthier lunchbox snacks kids will love.'

The campaign will last from August 22 to November 23, 2023.

I received a chicken this week from Woolworths and you can see it is wet and blood in the bag. I don’t know whether I should eat it. Is it safe? It is supposed to be a fresh chicken. Not sure if it was frozen and defrosted. What should I do.

I'd take the bugger back and demand your money back (or throw a brick through the window?)

I still do not comprehend how Woolworth complicated reward point program work - I gave up and use Flybuys which is much simpler and does not have expiration date.

I noted today an item that was $1 last week (and has been for at least 6 months) is on the shelf today for $1.30.

What is really galling is that there is a "Price Reduced" sticker on the price.

I am sure that must be illegal in some way.

False advertising??
The give with one hand and take with the other.

Don't be fooled. The way that this is set up, you would be paying more for tokened products than home brand products and in the end your grocery bill will go up. Not a big help really unless you like these particular branded items.

Can't tell you how many times I've read the cost of fuel is the greatest expense SDC commentary states. But you think a supermarket should provide cheap home delivery? With cost of fuel, wages etc it's more likely you are getting a delivery at a cost that is already subsidised. Most store work on impulse spending so online means you're not buying those 'extra' items you spot when in store, so possibly online shopping is costing you less or around the same end price.

It’s only a savings if you really need 2 of said product. So many of us are on our own and watching our $’s.

Home brand products are probably still the cheaper version of any purchase. But sometimes you have to say "Dang it" and buy a branded item anyways purely for the flavor.

That's OK if a) you can afford to buy more than one at a time, and b) you have the storage space. Considering their $1.62 billion profit, their prices are way too expensive, that's nearly criminal

More bull💩 to make you shop there start shopping 🛍 around and save money 💰 Woolworths an't the be all end all remember that they aren't an Australian company they are South Africa owned 😉
Really? Then why do people balk at supporting Aldi to Germany.

Of course, there is method in their madness.
Their prices on whole the most expensive. This is a ploy to get you in the door first, then bank on you buying other things while you are there.
Unless you have the willpower to only buy the specials and leave, you will probably save nothing.
Aldi for me.
its not a bargain if the items have gone up in price and then lowered as a bargain .
TAKE fussy cat cat food ,IT was 80 cents a tin 3 years go yet now its $2 a can
IF its on sale at a $1 is it still a bargain when it should not have gone up that much in the first place
woolies brag a billion dollars profit and they did not get that from being The good guy
GREED IS EVERYWHERE
