l would love to hear views on what we saw happen yesterday . This foreign dark skinned woman carrying a baby in her arms was walking with this white guy towards their car parked right in front of us.He gets in the car and she is left struggling to open the back door to put the baby in it's baby seat. Then instead of getting into the front seat next to the man she opens the other back door and sits in the back. l felt so sorry for her being treated like this and wish l could have got out of the car to tell him off but that would have taken about 5 mins lol
There should be a law that rules all should be treated the same when they live in Australia
That is totally appalling, but if you had intervened you most likely would have been abused. I am stunned by the treatment of women these days, though the way that some young women behave leaves a lot to be desired. I would also like to hear from others on their views of our changing society. Domestic violence seems to be increasing, & in a lot of cases common decency has disappeared. Still Ebby & I are just curious (I think) about what you all think or are we the only ones who get a bit bewildered by it all?

Yes come on folks your opinions would be appreciated

I just discovered that my little Care Flight Bear named Henry is worth between $40 to $50 2nd hand. I also have a Mickey Mouse talking Show doll, I just discovered worth about $120 .
I would be interested in other people's little treasures. It makes you do a bit of research before going to donate to op shop.
How about a Bargain Hunt section.
Iv'e got over 100 beanie babies from when my partner worked back in the early to mid 2000's. He'd buy me one a week and he was looking on Ebay yesterday to see what they were worth. One Angel one went for $90,000, yes, that's ninety thousand.
I have two Angel ones but I haven't checked to see if it's one of those yet.
All of my bears still have the tags on them too which makes them more valuable, although i'd be loath to part with them but for even $50 each i'd get a nice tidy profit.

I listen to music FOR the music, not the lyrics.

I have had countless arguments with psychologists with regards to the purpose of music. What do you listen for in music? The first thing that attracts you is the beat, rhythm or melody, not the words.

If a song has good lyrics, that's a bonus. Then you have totally crazy lyrics, such as The Beatles' "I Am The Walrus" and Beck's "Loser", great songs because of BOTH the music and the lyrics.

How about instrumentals? From "Telstar" by the Tornadoes to "Sabrosa" by the Beastie Boys.

If lyrics is the driver behind your musical choices, may I suggest poetry recital. :ROFLMAO:
I don't mind some poetry, The Raven being my favourite. But no, music isn't poetry when it tells a story. Take Don Mclean's Vincent for example, it doesn't get any better than that.

I would love to see the following threads posted on the side ⬅️ with the regular ones eg cooking n recipes

Would love to see more members life stories.

Stories that are bizarre and strange.

What about a post telling people where they can get bargain food buys . I know a few which I recommend to those I know are doing it tough.

One for instance is

Addy Rd Marrickville Sydney everything in side is so cheap. Spend $5 get a free loaf of bread abd then go outside and get free fruit n vegetables.
I don't go there for my family but have taken other people who are doing it tough
There is no reason for anyone to go hungry. This is a company I do donate to

There should be a law that rules all should be treated the same when they live in Australia
This has been happening since time immemorial, especially amongst their own ethnic type. Ever seen a group of men, usually Eastern European, walking way in front of their "wives"?

Indian men display the same behaviour towards women sitting in cars, exactly as you have described.

Fair call that he didn't help her with the baby but iv'e seen multiples of mothers get in the back seat with their babies, white, black, pink, or purple.

I always sat in the back with my baby/babies, and I'm blonde with blue eyes.
Another example of judgement without thought.

What is appalling is your judgement 'on sight'. Have you forgotten the saying 'Make sure brain is engaged before putting mouth in gear'? I'm disappointed in the number of members who jumped in after you.

We saw Don McLean in concert a few years ago in a small theatre in Enmore .what an amazing and intimate concert. If he ever came back we would definitely go again

Well aware of the saying & brain was engaged & I’m still appalled at what Ebby witnessed. Why would you need to sit in the back unless your child is ill? It’s unfortunate if you’re offended.

I would love to see discussions on all sorts of controversial topics, eg the difficulties the gay/ transgender people have & are expectations getting out of hand without SDC members getting nasty. I’m not gay & neither are my family, not that it’s relevant.
Im also very interested in indigenous people & would love to know if we have any members who are & would be willing to share how life affects them. I’m curious about all sorts of issues that affect the world we live in & what we can do to make things better.
I also wish that we could have discussions without negativity and name calling, after all we all have different opinions & no one is right or wrong.
Some great topics there. I don't judge transgender or gay people but what I hate is where 5 year old boys think they are girls and visa versa. Children are just that and at 5 years old they wouldn't know what they are or want.
My son is a teacher and resigned from a school that had 6 transgender kindergarten children starting the following year.

I always sat in the back when I had a newborn baby, and continued to sit in the back unless one of my older kids came with us.
It was a security thing with me and my choice. I did this until they were around 6 months old. A couple of my daughters did the same thing when they had kids. Unless they were driving then they told hubby to sit in the back
Hubby always carried bags ect while I carried the baby.
