I would love to see discussions on all sorts of controversial topics, eg the difficulties the gay/ transgender people have & are expectations getting out of hand without SDC members getting nasty. I’m not gay & neither are my family, not that it’s relevant.
Im also very interested in indigenous people & would love to know if we have any members who are & would be willing to share how life affects them. I’m curious about all sorts of issues that affect the world we live in & what we can do to make things better.
I also wish that we could have discussions without negativity and name calling, after all we all have different opinions & no one is right or wrong.

Hello Still Ebby, I was totally astounded by a mother actually harming her small child, thank goodness she didn’t manage to kill her! Hopefully she doesn’t ever have another child to abuse.
The idea of Go Fund Me is good but seems to be used for everything by all sorts of undeserving people.
Hi Deni .Yes l agree how a mother could do this to get money is beyond me.What that poor baby went through is heartbreaking but l have heard it has happened before. They are sick and shouldn't have children

Music in my day told a story, unlike now.
I listen to music FOR the music, not the lyrics.

I have had countless arguments with psychologists with regards to the purpose of music. What do you listen for in music? The first thing that attracts you is the beat, rhythm or melody, not the words.

If a song has good lyrics, that's a bonus. Then you have totally crazy lyrics, such as The Beatles' "I Am The Walrus" and Beck's "Loser", great songs because of BOTH the music and the lyrics.

How about instrumentals? From "Telstar" by the Tornadoes to "Sabrosa" by the Beastie Boys.

If lyrics is the driver behind your musical choices, may I suggest poetry recital. :ROFLMAO:

I just discovered that my little Care Flight Bear named Henry is worth between $40 to $50 2nd hand. I also have a Mickey Mouse talking Show doll, I just discovered worth about $120 .
I would be interested in other people's little treasures. It makes you do a bit of research before going to donate to op shop.
How about a Bargain Hunt section.

I bought every type of Care Flight Bear that came out for my children. I could have been sitting on a miniature goldmine!

They are possibly still sitting in a box in a house roof in Bundaberg! o_O

I would love to see the following threads posted on the side ⬅️ with the regular ones eg cooking n recipes

Would love to see more members life stories.

Stories that are bizarre and strange.

What about a post telling people where they can get bargain food buys . I know a few which I recommend to those I know are doing it tough.

One for instance is

Addy Rd Marrickville Sydney everything in side is so cheap. Spend $5 get a free loaf of bread abd then go outside and get free fruit n vegetables.
I don't go there for my family but have taken other people who are doing it tough
There is no reason for anyone to go hungry. This is a company I do donate to

What about ''Viva love Generation'' Bob Sinclair ''Touch and Go The Cars and Steve Miller Band?
It's the vocal delivery, not the lyrical content, that catches my ears.

I don't have much time for Bob Sinclair, a Frenchman trying to sound like a half baked Jamaican.

But The Cars....now you're talking! In my Top 100 bands of all time with their self titled debut album being a masterpiece. Rik Ocasek's unique strained vocals are a wicked pleasure of mine, as is Elliot Easton's guitar work.

Steve Miller Band - with somewhat catchy songs like "Abracadabra", "Fly Like An Eagle" and "The Joker", they were just another product of the American "middle of the road" music factory of the 1970s.

l would love to hear views on what we saw happen yesterday . This foreign dark skinned woman carrying a baby in her arms was walking with this white guy towards their car parked right in front of us.He gets in the car and she is left struggling to open the back door to put the baby in it's baby seat. Then instead of getting into the front seat next to the man she opens the other back door and sits in the back. l felt so sorry for her being treated like this and wish l could have got out of the car to tell him off but that would have taken about 5 mins lol
There should be a law that rules all should be treated the same when they live in Australia

l like Dave Brubeck ''Take 5'' but its a bit repetitive and of course is jazz. Like classical music too
l could go on forever about music but l won't and l can guess what your thinking lol
