Former television host Andrew O'Keefe was arrested on Thursday following an alleged physical aggression towards a 38-year-old woman.
It was reported that the 50-year-old TV personality was accused of "assaulting and choking" the woman before punching, pushing, and kicking her to the ground in a Sydney CBD unit on Tuesday.
Police said that the woman formally reported the alleged incident on Wednesday.

The former TV presenter was charged with six offences, including two counts of intentionally choking a person without consent, three counts of common assault, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was also due to appear at Central Local Court on Friday after he was refused bail.

The arrest of O'Keefe has not been peaceful as he shouted at reporters covering the scene.
“I’m a victim of crime,” he yelled, asking the police to “get rid of these f****** journalists”.
It should be noted that the TV personality was one of the founders of the White Ribbon Foundation — a domestic violence charity where he served as a chairman in 2017.
The organisation — which went into liquidation in 2019 — did not give any comments regarding the matter.
O'Keefe is also a former lawyer and son of former NSW Supreme Court judge Barry O'Keefe.
