This is so sad, you are so much younger than me (77) and should have been able to have many more years together.
I shall take my daughter out for a drive today. She likes to get out but although lovely and sunny today, it is bitterly cold, so I think a car ride would be more appropriate.
Apparently I'm going to help her do a jigsaw tomorrow, so she
tells me. Despite her disability she is very good at them.
So I guess that takes care of our weekend.

Do so,I hear there are a few in Melbourne and Sydney,but ask for advanced PREMIUM LENSES and a specialist that can use and has access to buy these particular ones,it doesn't matter if you don't have cataracts,the procedure is the same, instead of putting in the old clear lenses my parents got for their cataracts,someone Ingenius overseas thought "why not put a script on the lense and the wearer won't need glasses for distance" or "they won't need glasses for reading" you had to choose.Great distance and still have reading glasses or other way around,but the ability to fix all three is more revolutionary, but not new in America which is ALWAYS ahead of us.Of course ,you need extensive tests, non of which hurt in any way,mainly photos of the backs of the eyes etc,to see if your are a candidate,mine even fix astigmatism too, which is unbelievable!!!I have stopped straightening picture frames on everyone's walls when I visit.Everything looked crooked before Not any more.
Hubby calls it my HIGH DEFINITION EYESIGHT.....Only downside....the spiderwebs in the small corner now are clear,and what I thought looked pretty clean.. WASN'T

Know how that feels, I have to wear my glasses to do cleaning otherwise I don't know whether things are clean or not.

Yes but my eyesight pre op looked clean with my glasses, and it wasn't.When the specialist went in he said "how have you managed,you were legally blind when I took your inside measurements from the inside!!!" Yet the optometrist would keep changing my scripts every year and making one eye for distance,the other for near,it was absolutely horrible.Best money I will ever spend.
