Duchess’ regret: One thing she wishes she could undo amidst royal scrutiny

The fairy tale of marrying a prince and becoming a duchess has long been a dream for many, but for Meghan Markle, the reality of royal life has reportedly been a relentless challenge.

The Duchess of Sussex, who once graced our screens as the paralegal Rachel Zane on the hit TV series Suits, is said to yearn for the days before her royal title and the global scrutiny that came with it.

Millions around the world watched Meghan's transition from Hollywood actress to senior member of the British Royal Family.

Her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018 was a global event, celebrated and scrutinized equally.

However, less than two years into their royal roles, the Sussexes made the unprecedented decision to step back from their duties and move to California.

A source close to the Sussexes recently confided to OK! Magazine that Meghan misses the 'care-free' life she had before her royal engagement.

'Meghan has made no secret of how much she misses her carefree life when she was an actress, and while she’d never change what she has with Harry and the kids, there is a big part of her that she wishes she could just get her old life back,' the source revealed.

‘She loved being in Suits and all the opportunities it gave her. She’d get invited to all the exclusive events and get to hang out with Hollywood A-listers, but there was so much less scrutiny and attention, and there was no pressure on her.’

Meghan's struggles with the media and her quest for privacy have been well-documented.

In a candid moment at a film festival in Texas, she shared her strategy of avoiding social media to protect her mental health.

Adding to the Duchess's challenges, an upcoming German investigative documentary threatens to delve into her past, potentially stirring up more public interest and commentary.

Ulrike Grunewald's documentary for the ZDF network aims to provide an in-depth look at Meghan's life before her royal chapter.

The production team has even travelled to Montecito, California, to speak with Harry and Meghan's neighbours to gain insight into the couple's private life.

However, the project has hit a snag, with the production team pausing to seek legal advice over the content.

‘The team wants to make sure that everything used on Meghan Markle is correct,’ they said.

‘Every detail will be checked and double-checked to ensure that it is legally sound and factually correct.’

In related news, Meghan Markle faced social media backlash after a video surfaced showing her seemingly telling a woman not to stand next to Prince Harry at a polo event.

The widely discussed incident has led some to label the Duchess's behaviour 'rude'. Read more about this news here.

Wow!Narcissistic hypocrite!!!!!
Big call from, I gather, someone without mental health or other relevant qualifications,to give this stranger this label or diagnosis.
Yes and also a lot of people sadly become estranged from their father mother siblings etc,for teaso s of which are known personally just to them,we don't know the whole story, there are always too sides.
Maybe SDC should stop dredging up the royals like the cheap gossip magazines, and its members could possibly give their opinions on more constructive things. How many of us out there have family feuds going and people not seeing grandkids etc,you hear it all the time.Luckily it doesn't apply to me ,but you don't know her father's real issues with his daughter and what led her to feel the way she does.

Having been married to one for 12 years I can see one a mile off, pity I couldn't have seen it 12 years earlier. Live and learn. I'm afraid I agree with the label, but then again that's just my opinion

Absolutely, everyone strips Megan, non of us really know her,we just know the gossip. The way everyone attacks her or the royals is unbelievable.I don't care about them one way or other, but everyone seems to be an expert on character or assassination of her and them, but all we know is the gossip that is magazine written. My rant sorry
Didn't you watch the Oprah interview? That wasn't written gossip, straight from the horses mouth.
And what about Harry's book, talk about a simpering sook,
anybody would think he was the first prince to be born second in line.

My goodness, just look at the attack on me because I dared to say that maybe we should lay off this lady,we are not experts, and maybe just maybe,we can post more constructive things as nobody really knows what goes on behind closed.Y s I did see the Oprah interview, only because I was visiting my sister and she insisted on putting it on.What about it??She was saying things as she felt them. Why was she sadistic, mean,

I believe they said narcissistic not sadistic, two different things.
When you post on this sight you will get those who agree with you and those who don't.
Toughen up, go with the flow.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, as are you.
I would imagine that you have been lucky enough to have not had the displeasure of having a narcissistic personality in your life otherwise you would be able to recognise narcissism .

Actually,I do have a distant relative that has all the "characteristics" outlined in MEDICAL JOURNALS of a narcissist, but that does not mean I would call him one or write his name on this site and openly call him one,I don't have his medical papers in front of me that actually use those words, by the medical people that stamped his forehead with the diagnosis.Hence I don't believe I am qualified to name call.Narcissistic has now become as common a word to use as UN AUSTRALIAN🤣
COME.ON PEOPLE LETS LIGHTEN UP....WHY DONT WE DiSCUSS THE INDIGENOUS PATTERN ON THE BACK OF THE.OF THE QANTAS PLANES AGAIN.....WE even had reference to "Hitler "in that furore🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Where are you veggie patch,This is truely becoming a gossip magazine..

PS To mylittletibbies,I am really sorry that you were married for twelve years to someone that wasn't stable..and glad that you obviously managed to distance yourself. My comments were not in anyway meant to diminish or offend anyone who genuinely knows and has been told and lived with someone with this diagnosis.Hope you are doing well now

You don't need a medical degree to recognise narcissism, just open your eyes
I spent countless hours with psychiatrists etc on the many times my ex needed to be institutionalised, as he also suffered bipolar and would become manic, even think (and believe)he was God.
When he was treated and came back to"normal" he no longer believed he was God but certainly acted as though he was.
Everything is fine with a narcissist as long as everything is about them and going their way.
After 12 years I may not have had a degree but I certainly felt like I earnt one. Lol.

Thank you, I did manage to extricate myself and children from this mess and make a happy life for myself with my new husband for 32 years.
Unfortunately, he passed away about 8 weeks ago so my daughter and I are slowly picking up the pieces and starting again.Onward and upward is the only way to go I guess.

Again ,I apologise if you had, from all you have listed apart from narcissistic behaviour,a partner with obvious mental issues and I did wish you the best now, however my eyes are wide open I can assure you,I have also suffered incredibly from anxiety and depression for over thirty years,so I am not ignorant in THESE areas. This STILL does not mean I can just call someone a narcissist Hypocrite, based on my eyes being OPEN.
PS Speaking of EYES,I had advanced cataract surgery a year ago after wearing glasses for 60years.Threw them away, perfect vision far, inbetween and upclose. If anyone has problems with cataracts or just bad eyesight even with glasses and is interested,I am happy to pass on all details. It has changed my life really.

Me please, my eyesight seems to get poorer each year,.no cataracts though.
I only got new bifocals about six months ago, which seemed OK at the time, but now I don't feel they are as good
Have often wondered about laser surgery as I drive myself nuts always looking for my glasses which I seem to leave all over the place.
Would be wonderful to be able to see properly agajn, without glasses.

The doctor is Dr James Genge. He is in the northern beaches eye centre.Only specialist there. He even does corneal transplants.I believe his in one of only a few eye surgeons and specialists that has access to these lenses .You are put under for half and hour, you basically have cataract surgery, which means he removed the lenses from the capsules with appropriate specialist equipment, then simply slides in the correct lense you need on each eye.You wake up,your a bit blurry, the next day you see him in his rooms and I walked away with my husband and sunglasses and could see the rego plates on cars three in front.I will tell you upfront though, that even after my private health cover and medical rebated etc,you will still be up for about $5000 plus extra anaesthetic fees also mostly not covered by your fund,so it's not a cheap solution, but it was costing me nearly $1000 per year just on my perscription glasses that went dark outside and clear inside etc as I wore them 24/7 only taking off to sleep. Its worth going to see him just got to get the examination and opinion, again not cheap and you will need a referral from your optometrist or GP. PS don't surprised if your optometrist tries to talk you out of it.So did mine, till he saw my results and was astounded. If you need more info just let me know.Regards

Thank you, I do wish you and your husband all the best, sending best wishes and prayers your way.
This is so sad, you are so much younger than me (77) and should have been able to have many more years together.
I shall take my daughter out for a drive today. She likes to get out but although lovely and sunny today, it is bitterly cold, so I think a car ride would be more appropriate.
Apparently I'm going to help her do a jigsaw tomorrow, so she
tells me. Despite her disability she is very good at them.
So I guess that takes care of our weekend.🥰

How many pairs have you got,?😂

How many pairs have you got,?😂
Five and I am always leaving them everywhere. Bedroom, TVroom, lounge, kitchen, car, patio, on top of things,
under things, lol
My daughter, who is supposed to be the one with a disability, usually manages to find them for me. The other day she found three pair and said to me. "Mum, you really are a basket case"
I think she's right!
