You could save hundreds with Woolworths' new Everyday Extra rewards system!

Loyal Woolworths shoppers, rejoice! The supermarket giant has just launched a new subscription service that could help you save big on your groceries.

Called Everyday Extra, the program is an addition to the existing Everyday Rewards system but offers even more benefits and discounts for customers willing to pay a small monthly fee.

For only $7 per month (or $59 per year, if you prefer to get billed annually), you'll receive 10% off one shop per month at Woolworths and 10% off one shop at BIG W – plus 3 times the Everyday Rewards points on every purchase you make at either store!

That's right, triple the usual amount of points, which means you'll be able to rack up those rewards vouchers even faster.

On top of all that, subscribers will also enjoy exclusive perks like free products, subscriber-only offers and extra points boosters – making it well worth the price of admission for people with certain shopping habits.

In fact, according to Woolworths' estimates, their most engaged customers could save over $400 a year by signing up! We can’t speak to the truthfulness of that claim though, and will have to do the calculations ourselves.

The savings will go a long way towards helping customers deal with the increasing cost of living, according to Hannah Ross, Managing Director of Everyday X.

'Now more than ever, customers are looking for ways to save money on their weekly shop and get the most value each time they shop in our stores or online,' she said.

'With Everyday Extra, we're providing our customers with another way to save on their shop and unlock even more value from our Everyday Rewards program, helping them to save hundreds of dollars a year.'

If you're interested in joining Everyday Extra but don't want to commit just yet, don't worry! Customers who want to test out the upgrade can take advantage of Woolworths's current free trial offer, which lasts for 30 days and can be terminated at any time.

Those who have signed up for Everyday Rewards are the only ones who can take advantage of the Everyday Extra program, and they must keep their membership active in order to keep enjoying the benefits.

When a customer cancels their Everyday Rewards membership, their Everyday Extra subscription is also deactivated.

Is Everyday Extra worth it?

According to Angus Kidman from Finder, if you regularly shop at Woolies or BIG W, Everyday Extra will indeed help you save money. In fact, even he himself signed up for the promo!

'For most shoppers, the 10% discount alone makes Everyday Extra a tempting proposition. If you spend more than $70 in a single grocery shop, the savings will be more than the $7 you pay each month – and you'll get extra points on top of that,' he explained.

On the other hand, he suggested that you get the most out of your Everyday Rewards points by exchanging them for Qantas Points. And even if you're only interested in cashing them in for $10 vouchers, Everyday Extra will get you there faster and could end up saving you money.

'To really maximise your savings, you'd also want to do 1 big monthly shop and apply the 10% discount to that. That's good budget practice anyway,' he advised.

Definitely worth it. Did the maths and signed up for the yearly subscription and immediately saw a return.

That is actually a good deal for those who spend more $70 aweek.

I spend around $300 aweek so I would get $30 off minus the $7 I would end up with $23 off each month plus triple points.

I've been doing more shopping at coles as flybuys offer more, but this deal might even flybuys.

Come on flybuys it's your turn to up the deals

I’d rather they reduce the cost of delivery. That’s why I shop at Coles. I can pay as little as $2 for delivery, depending on the time of day whereas Woolworths charge $15 regardless of the time.

Hello, Woolworths Online have a Delivery Unlimited option that has a 30 day free trial and after that $13.50 per month for pensioners so as many orders over $50 is delivered for free. Your subscription can be suspended anytime if you know you won't need to have delivieries for awhile. I use it in the Winter months when I am often unwell with asthma and unable to get out the house. I hope this is helpful for you. ☺

you know, Im getting too old for all these changes - they always have to make things so complicated. pay for annual fee - get discounts - but only for certain items - only for x number of days, - only for certain days - only for card payments - etc etc - I strongly believe they hire people to make up rules as they go along. I never buy into all these gimmicks.

Key Takeaways

  • Woolworths has launched a new subscription service called Everyday Extra, which offers discounts and bonuses to loyal customers.
  • For a monthly fee of $7, subscribers will receive 10% off one shop per month at Woolworths and 10% off at BIG W, as well as 3x Everyday Rewards points on every shop.
  • The Everyday Extra subscription also comes with bonus benefits, freebies and offers, which are emailed monthly to subscribers.
