In our previous car I used to wear my seatbelt incorrectly because if I had it over my shoulder it would cut into my neck. I wore it on my arm. Our new car has different settings for seatbelts and the lower adjustment fits a lot better, though still not very comfortable.

This doesn't surprise me at all. My daughter has received a $450 fine and 3 demerit points because her passenger was wearing her seatbelt was incorrectly. She has been trying to have her adult passenger held responsible for her own actions but the police have told her that as the driver she is responsible for the seatbelts of every passenger in the vehicle. Certainly doesn't seem fair to me.

Can't see why she would be surprised in reality she did not have her seat belt on.

I can never get the seatbelt to fit in any car that I have been in. I always end up with chafe mark across my neck.people are always asking me what have I done to my neck.

They are adjustable most of them, on the side pillar you can move the strap up or down which reduces the neck chafing.

I was aware of this rule for some years now - but can't understand the ridiculously high fine. Being large-breasted, I always found the strap very uncomfortable digging into my chest. I also resorted to using a strap cover (highly recommended)which definitely helps to have a more comfortable and less distracting ride.

Someone has to pay for the Olympics nobody wanted...be aware the QLD Government has to raise 30 million or 30 Billion or more for these Olympics, they have now brought out cameras to monitor your speed in area's of road works....40k zones, be careful!!! and the cameras look like little road work machines, but of course it's not revenue raising, it's looking after your welfare!!!
