Why you should join SDC Rewards, according to members

Now, I could chat until the cows come home about why I love SDC Rewards and would love to have you join our community, but I thought, who better to hear from than members who already chose to upgrade?

So, what do existing SDC Rewards members have to say?

  • ‘Joining SDC Rewards was my way of giving back to you for all the effort put in for us. It’s great to have a forum specifically designed for seniors.’

  • ‘It is my only link to a community.’

  • ‘For me, joining SDC Rewards membership gives me the feeling of belonging to a wonderful, diverse family.’

  • ‘Happy not to have all the ads. Enjoy the puzzles, trivia etc.’

  • ‘I regarded joining the SDC Rewards as a worthy cause as well as deserving. It involves every day, with all the effort you commit, for newsletters and interesting information that appeals to this age group. Love the rewards' competitions and zero ads too.’

  • ‘My appreciation of the efforts made by the team day after day bringing us varied information not found in local newspapers and TV news made me become a Life Member as every dollar we can pay helps to expand. After a few weeks of new membership, I found out I had joined a gold mine.’
If you can, please support us by subscribing to SDC Rewards. It takes less than a minute to sign up, and you can rest assured that you’re making a big impact every single month in support of Australian senior-focussed journalism and entertainment.

We have three membership options: monthly, annual, and lifetime, which start from just 14 cents per day (less than $1 per week).

I do not see the point of paying so much money for another app. Most apps are free. Those that aren't free is a choice and never from what I have seen are as expensive as SDC. Why not get rid of these ridiculous google ads on the free newsletter as its not only annoying and repetitive, it is hard to find any info
Bye bye

They posted the reply last September and they are still here. I think they are just complainers but really live it on here
It doesn't seem to matter what you do where you go, whatever. You've always got whingers.
Like the old saying I guess you can't please all the people all the time.
They don't seem to realise that just because they may not be interested in a certain article other people are. Just skip it. Simple.

Not possible for some ... they have to announce it to all of us that they aren't interested.

Something I always say

To reach 300,000 Subscribers in under 3 years is an achievement any business or club would like to achieve, but as the club grows so do the staff needed to handle it, I think the SDC rates are very reasonable and surely there is one luxury we can do without to enable the club to grow, remember our news sheets bring us information that even the Newspapers do not print, thank you to all the staff for your efforts to keep us informed.
Agree with you Dennis!

No I find some of the articles very repetative, most I've heard either on the news or Current Affairs programes. It's not the cost just don't need extra content. Don't do the quizzes have enough of those from a dictionary app. Love the jokes but they're getting a little repetitive too
Barbara V with your attitude why bother to join the rest of us at all. We are a bunch of older people who enjoy a little company through the SDC and do not want negative remarks like yours. Get some happiness and spread it for once!

Wow…This reminds me of when I was a child, in church on Sundays with my parents and the plate was being passed around - the scrutinising eyes looking to see how much each person put in the plate and if deemed too little…the judgemental looks LOL. Some very ugly comments here.

I live in a community that relies heavily on volunteers - and the majority of those volunteers are well past their prime. The older generation keeps giving their time both privately and as members of different organisations that run and support community events. Without their never ending quest to raise funds for local and overseas causes our community would be much poorer in so many ways. Like our seniors the SDC gives without demanding, that is why I joined the club.

I know exactly what you mean, even about the plate at church.

What upsets me the most about her posts is not that it can offend some members who enjoy it here, myself included, it's the way she treats the admin who posts these stories for us to enjoy and get educated on.
I would hate to be them and see nearly every post from her compaining about it, if she doesn't like something message them, don't put it in here for us all to see because the majority of us don't want to see it.
To me she's just a nasty old woman who likes to criticise everything!
