That's me most of the time.Curmudgeon.... "A bad tempered person, especially an old one."
I was once called a "crusty old curmudgeon" in a funny story written by a fellow member in our motorcycling club newsletter. It was a fun story made up around quite a few of our members.
After reading the story, I had to look the word up. I congratulated him and reckoned it was a great word find.

There is a difference here. Flotsam is material lying in the water when a ship had had an unfortunate incident. Jetsam is material that is intentionally thrown overboard to try and save the vessel. Jonah was jetsam.Flotsam & Jetsam: cargo that washes ashore after a ship has hit a reef etc.
