Such was the case in a recent wild incident that unfolded in broad daylight and was caught on dashcam, leaving onlookers and now viewers online utterly shocked.
The dramatic footage, which has since gone viral, showed two men engaging in a fierce brawl in the middle of a busy road, seemingly oblivious to the stunned drivers around them.
The scene began with a Ford swerving through lanes before coming to a stop at a red light. The driver appeared calm.
Suddenly, another man exits an Audi and, with a sense of urgency, approaches the Ford from the left. He left his car idling as he weaved through the traffic on foot.
The Ford driver, sensing trouble, opened his door just as the first punch was thrown.
What follows is a wild fight that spills across multiple lanes. The two men exchange kicks and punches, grappling in a headlock, and at one point, they even collide with an orange ute.
The ute's driver, forced into the fray, honks their horn in an attempt to deter the brawlers.
Adding a surreal touch to the bizarre scene, the Bee Gees' 1977 hit 'Stayin' Alive' can be heard playing in the background, providing an ironic soundtrack to the violence unfolding on the road.
As the Ford rolled forward slightly, the men continued their altercation, moving between lanes and escalating their argument.
The dashcam footage showed one of the men attempting a karate-style kick.
Eventually, the traffic lights changed, and the men returned to their vehicles and drove away as if nothing had happened.
The cause of the altercation remains unknown, and while Queensland Police have been made aware of the video, no formal complaints have been lodged.
