TV host slams ‘pathetic’ animal rights protesters — what they did will SHOCK you

As someone who's never been shy to speak his mind, it's no surprise that TV host Piers Morgan had some strong words to say in response to a recent animal rights activist stunt — this time involving milk… Sounds weird, we know.
Footage of the incident, which took place in a grocery store in the UK, showed two female campaigners from the animal rights group Animal Rebellion making a huge mess by pouring the breakfast staple (gasp!) all over the floor and shelves, with another male standing at the side holding a sign with the words ‘Plant Based Future’.
As the three staged their protest, another man could also be seen trying to get Animal Rebellion to stop.
‘You made your point,’ he can be heard saying, as one protester explained their agenda.
The protests, aptly called ‘Milk Pours’ by the group, are done to bring the UK government’s attention to support farmers to transition to a plant-based food system.
In a separate post on Twitter, the group wrote: ‘Animal farming is THE leading cause of the loss of our wildlife and natural ecosystems. The government MUST support farmers in an urgent transition to a #PlantBasedFoodSystem and allow the freed up land to be rewilded in order to restore wildlife populations.'
The protesters reportedly staged the 'Milk Pours' as part of coordinated efforts that took place in multiple stores across London, Manchester, Norwich and Edinburgh.
Morgan took to Twitter to express his outrage after seeing the footage, and as his usual way, he went no holds barred.
'You're not “concerned individuals”,' he wrote. 'You're pathetic attention-seeking morons.'
Seemingly unfazed by Piers’ ire, the group responded: ‘Hey Piers! Thanks for sharing our actions today! If you’d like to talk again, we’d love to oblige you sometime in the week.’
He later wrote of the group: ‘I will double my meat intake for the next month, by way of response to these fascist imbeciles.’
Understandably, the TV personality wasn’t the only one displeased at the stunt.
‘I really hope you lose the support you crave today. This is a massive miscalculation on your part in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis. Bravo,’ said UK columnist Georgie Bingham.
Pointing out the irony of the act, podcaster Mikhaila Peterson pointed out: ‘You do realise that more milk needs to be bought to replace this, right?’
Others, including reactors to Pierce’s response on Twitter, simply dismissed Animal Rebellion as ‘posh kids with too much time on their hands’ who didn’t think minimum wage cleaners would be left to clean up their mess.
Early last September, the group went beyond supermarket ‘Milk Pours’ and staged blockades at dairy delivery routes. They also sprayed the gates of the UK Parliament with white paint — symbolising milk —- to further their cause.
The UK is the world’s 13th largest producer of milk in the world.
On the topic of protests, climate activist group Just Stop Oil recently doused renowned painter Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflowers piece at the London National Gallery with tomato soup, shrouding the priceless work of art with a veil of red-orange.
Members, what are your thoughts on this story? Were Animal Rebellion protesters right to dump precious milk to give a voice to their concerns?
Or do you think they’d be better off not wasting food by finding another way to make their gripe with the dairy industry known?
