TV host slams ‘pathetic’ animal rights protesters — what they did will SHOCK you

As someone who's never been shy to speak his mind, it's no surprise that TV host Piers Morgan had some strong words to say in response to a recent animal rights activist stunt — this time involving milk… Sounds weird, we know.

Footage of the incident, which took place in a grocery store in the UK, showed two female campaigners from the animal rights group Animal Rebellion making a huge mess by pouring the breakfast staple (gasp!) all over the floor and shelves, with another male standing at the side holding a sign with the words ‘Plant Based Future’.

As the three staged their protest, another man could also be seen trying to get Animal Rebellion to stop.

‘You made your point,’ he can be heard saying, as one protester explained their agenda.

The protests, aptly called ‘Milk Pours’ by the group, are done to bring the UK government’s attention to support farmers to transition to a plant-based food system.

In a separate post on Twitter, the group wrote: ‘Animal farming is THE leading cause of the loss of our wildlife and natural ecosystems. The government MUST support farmers in an urgent transition to a #PlantBasedFoodSystem and allow the freed up land to be rewilded in order to restore wildlife populations.'

The protesters reportedly staged the 'Milk Pours' as part of coordinated efforts that took place in multiple stores across London, Manchester, Norwich and Edinburgh.

Morgan took to Twitter to express his outrage after seeing the footage, and as his usual way, he went no holds barred.

'You're not “concerned individuals”,' he wrote. 'You're pathetic attention-seeking morons.'

Seemingly unfazed by Piers’ ire, the group responded: ‘Hey Piers! Thanks for sharing our actions today! If you’d like to talk again, we’d love to oblige you sometime in the week.’

He later wrote of the group: ‘I will double my meat intake for the next month, by way of response to these fascist imbeciles.’

Understandably, the TV personality wasn’t the only one displeased at the stunt.

‘I really hope you lose the support you crave today. This is a massive miscalculation on your part in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis. Bravo,’ said UK columnist Georgie Bingham.

Pointing out the irony of the act, podcaster Mikhaila Peterson pointed out: ‘You do realise that more milk needs to be bought to replace this, right?’

Others, including reactors to Pierce’s response on Twitter, simply dismissed Animal Rebellion as ‘posh kids with too much time on their hands’ who didn’t think minimum wage cleaners would be left to clean up their mess.

Key Takeaways

  • TV host Piers Morgan slammed animal rights group Animal Rebellion as 'pathetic'
  • Animal Rebellion recently staged protest actions at several groceries by dumping milk on floors and surfaces
  • The animal rights group wants the UK Government to facilitate a transition to plant-based food
Early last September, the group went beyond supermarket ‘Milk Pours’ and staged blockades at dairy delivery routes. They also sprayed the gates of the UK Parliament with white paint — symbolising milk —- to further their cause.

The UK is the world’s 13th largest producer of milk in the world.

On the topic of protests, climate activist group Just Stop Oil recently doused renowned painter Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflowers piece at the London National Gallery with tomato soup, shrouding the priceless work of art with a veil of red-orange.

Members, what are your thoughts on this story? Were Animal Rebellion protesters right to dump precious milk to give a voice to their concerns?

Or do you think they’d be better off not wasting food by finding another way to make their gripe with the dairy industry known?

Idiots on display. First off stop using phones cars electricity etc seeing how development offends you. Removing the cows and planting crops instead doesn’t increase the land availability for your wilding numb skulls.

Just think about the World after all of us smart people are gone and it is only these morons left. I have no objection to what people wish to eat or drink each to their own, this is coming from one of the smart people because I don't object to you idiots who only eat plant based foods, so get off your high horse and except that people are different and hey I DON'T want to be like you, I'm healthy because I have a varied diet I don't need iron shots like most of you idiots do. Try growing up.

Frankly, I think Piers has gone too lightly on these morons! How dare they violate property like this and expect that it will bring people to join their cause? They barge in, pour milk all over the place, then take off, leaving someone else to clean up the mess they made.

What’s needed is for these cretins to come before a magistrate who has the intestinal fortitude to order that the punishment fit the crime. If I were that magistrate - oh the joy! - I would order those dingbats to return to the store and buy the same number of bottles of milk that they poured out. Each. Then return home and have the staff of the store come to their home and pour that milk all over every hard floor, then waltz out the front door and leave the vandal to clean up the mess. At the moment, they’re getting off scot free, so there’s absolutely no incentive for them to stop behaving like savages.

look at the costs involved- idiots and the mess someone else has to clean up!.
Really given we are built to eat both animal and plant no-one has the right to dictate. If we weren't to have animal products we wouldn't have the teeth for it.
And land use won't diminish as more crops still means cleared land/habitat.
I agree re the cleanup costs being theirs. Where is the respect?

They're very good at making public displays of waste which has the flow on effect of more damage to the environment by way of cleaning agents and materials ending up in land fill. With so many in the world starving this is an atrocity. The suggestion of returning farming land to rewilded environments and create a plant based food supply is naive and contradictory as more land will be required to attain the level of protein in foods to maintain a healthy population.
Very good at public displays without offering any positive answers or solutions.

These idiots would prefer that all their food came out of a science laboratory rather than natural sources. Where in anybody's brain does this give them the right for civil disobedience, maybe it's a result of mad scientists experiments!! Have any of them actually talked to any farmers to ask their opinion, I doubt it.

I really hate it when people have a belief and demand that you too follow that belief , whether its religion politics or these vegan fools. To me it just Nazism, or those head of state in Iran and North Korea

They are bloody idiots, unemployed and brainless. Same with environment activists. On tv news the other night woman said "we do not vandalise any properties" while in the background you see an idiot pouring out a thick liquid all over the pavement to a building. It represented oil, and just made a thick mess everywhere. So much for not vandalising properties.

Idiots, what did they achieved by this? Why don't they spend all that pent up energy going to work or find a job and work for leaving. Complete imbeciles!! Hope they had to pay for the damage and clean up!!

why didn't they call security????

In this case ACTIONS DO NOT SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS except to put people against them.

I am sure these cretins were not charged by police, made to clean up or pay for the theft of the milk. By doing none of these things their actions prevent them from becoming martyrs that others can look up to. So far they have only raised the ire of a lot of smart people in the community.
