But Anita claims that Diggers Green Power Graffiti Remover is the solution.
'I'm using this at the moment all over my house, it actually works on the walls outside as well,' she remarked while spraying the product onto the marker stains she made on a cloth.
The cleaning product is available on the Bunnings website and retails for $21.99.
Anita continued: 'It's just kind of lifting off and the good thing about it is if you have them on something like a dining table, you don't want to start using scourers and stuff because then you're going to take off that finish.'
She then used a microfibre towel to wipe off the marker stains and the marks vanished without a trace.
Not only that, but it claims to remove paint, grease, oil, dirt, and much more! Talk about a versatile product!
Another trick that Anita has loved since her days as a waitress in Bondi is a relatively little-known hack: using Coca-Cola to clean a chalkboard.
Most people, including ourselves, might opt for water, but according to Anita, this will only make your chalkboard dirtier over time.
She remarked: 'This is the best way to clean a chalkboard because if you use Windex or water or anything like that, it starts to look a bit scabby.'
In fact, all you need to do is to dab some of the soft drink on a cloth, rub it all over the board, and in no time at all, it looks spotless again!
If you're a fan of meal prepping and packing your lunches, you probably recognise the awful smell that can develop in your lunch boxes after only a few days (or even hours) of use.
According to Birges, the best way to get rid of this nasty odour is to wet a paper towel with vinegar and then place it inside your lunchbox. Just pop it inside and let it sit overnight. The vinegar will absorb the foul smells and leave your lunch box smelling fresh again.
If that doesn't work for you, you can also try sprinkling some bi-carb soda or a tablespoon into the lunchbox as well.
