This organisation expert has discovered the perfect gadget for mess-free cooking - and it's only $10!

Do you enjoy cooking but hate cleaning? You're not alone! If there's one thing we despise about the kitchen, it's cleaning up after preparing a meal.

And one of the biggest contributors to a cluttered kitchen is vegetable or fruit peels.

Imagine how much time and effort we could save if there was something we could use for mess-free cooking that could collect all the scraps!

Well, it turns out, our search is finally over, as a new kitchen gadget is making waves online, thanks to its clever design that helps keep your cooking area clean.

Perth mum-of-two, Carolina McCauley, recently purchased the $10 vegetable peeler from Amazon and said it's been a game-changer in her kitchen.

The must-have kitchen tool comes with three interchangeable blades that create straight, serrated and julienne-style chopped veggies. Plus, the clear compartment detaches so that home cooks can empty the scraps directly into the bin for a quick and easy clean up.

The mum shared the find with her followers on Instagram and received a positive response.

"It's a peeling gadget that makes no mess, all the scraps are stored inside so you can take them straight to the bin. It's genius," she said.

"Where has this been all my life! I need this now," one wrote.

"This is SO great! Need this for my family and our compost bin," said another.

For those who are shocked by their post-meal mess, here are some tips for keeping your kitchen clean after cooking:

1. Keep a clean kitchen cloth or sponge near the sink to wipe up spills immediately.

This is probably the most important tip for keeping your kitchen clean after cooking. Whenever you're cooking, take the time to wipe spills immediately. Wipe down your countertops to prevent them from hardening and becoming more difficult to clean later on. This will help prevent a huge mess from building up and make cleanup a lot easier when you're finished cooking.

2. Before starting to cook, clear away any dirty dishes or clutter from the counters.

This will help prevent any cross-contamination of food and make the cooking process more efficient.

3. After cooking, wash all dirty dishes right away.

Don't leave dirty dishes in the sink or leave food out on the counter. Put things away as soon as you're finished with them. This will help keep your kitchen clean and prevent attracting bugs and other pests.

4. Sweep or vacuum the floor after cooking to remove any food that may have been dropped.

This will help to keep the kitchen clean and free of potential hazards.

5. Do a deep clean regularly.

Even if you're cleaning as you go and putting things away right away, your kitchen will still need a deep clean on a regular basis. Make sure to do this at least once a week and more often if necessary. This will help to keep your kitchen looking and smelling its best.
