Here’s a few shot I took with my Nikon cool pic 520 on macro settings, of a bee in my pool, then of it drying itself, I like this one as the bees long tongue is coming out of its mouth. Although the one of it floating with the stic pressure around the bee in the water was pretty cool. Enjoy

Hi guys! It's 2022, and we have a new competition for you... This one is for the photographers (amateur, professional, semi-professional - we don't mind!) among us.

There's no theme or requirement for any professional equipment - entries using smartphone cameras are perfectly acceptable.

The only rules are that the photo was taken by you, and that you include a sentence or two to give us a little context/back story about the photo.

We'll be announcing a winner a month from now - i.e. Feb 11th.

Good luck!

P.S: If you're having any problems uploading your pic(s), please let me know and I'll see if I can help!

Jonathan, I've twice tried to upload photos I've taken to his site but it can't do it and says that its too large for the server. I use a Canon Eos 80D camera and they are jpeg and not Tif. I haven't had any problems loading my photos to anywhere else before this. I really love photography and was hoping to share some of my photos. It also looks like I'm not the only one.
You could try resizing the photo (a copy not the original) then posting it.

Queen of the Night aka Epiphyllum Oxipetalum, we planted this 9 years ago. This is 50% of the plant and this particular night was the most flowers in one bloom, 280 flowers with 20 the following night . We had 544 flowers last season. Not only do the flowers only bloom for a night the perfume is beautiful, the size of the flower can be as big as 25cm in diameter.
