The One Sentence Story Thread​

Hi guys - following the success of some of our other word game threads, we're going to try and write a story generated entirely by SDC members!

Read the sentences other members have submitted (make sure you refresh the page so everything is up to date), and then add your own sentence below to keep things going!

I'll start...

It was supposed to be a fun hike through the woods, but nobody could have imagined what it would become.

EDIT: Let's try keep things at least 'PG' rated eh?

Huddled together to avoid the cold the group made their way to the old cabin.

 

[IJH]

Despite the cold they trudged on, only to find that the cabin door was locked.

So they decided to look under the pot plant on the porch to see if there was a spare key hidden there.

The key was nowhere to be found , where could it be and how will they get in?

 

[Pharoah]

So they decided to look through the window, and to their surprise!

 

[LALA]

They found that the cabin was already occupied by………

a family of possums wreaking havoc within the cabin.

 

[Grossek]

Oh dear and the smell but let’s break a window and shoo them out

 

[LALA]

“I’m not going anywhere near those possums, they have red eyes“ said Imelda the youngest one of the group.

I, m not scared.. I will go in first!

 

[traceyd]

As soon as I entered the possums all stopped, seemed to communicate with a look, then charged towards me; and without a thought I turned tail and ran out of there.

My friends couldn't believe what they were seeing, all the possums were chasing me and they just stood there and laughed

When my adrenalin had settled I came back and claimed victory for clearing the cabin.

As I leant back against the wall it moved, revealing a secret passage.

I looked into the opening and saw many steps going down

The steps went down a long way then turned right and I was in a huge Crypt

This is turning into a real adventure I said to the others.

It was like no sight I had ever seen before!

The walls were covered in all sorts of brilliant gems and............
