I was talking to a friend in Woolies when a woman put 1/2 a cabbage on the Biscuit shelf right in front of me! I told her that the cabbage belong where she picked it up from THE VEGETABLE SECTION! Her friend who was waiting for her called out to me "YOU mind your own business!" I told her to Butt Out! and said to the woman with the cabbage..."Your on camera and you're being bloody lazy, if you don't put it back, I'm calling the manager! So did I and it is one of the reasons I retired, as the selfishness of some customers is really tiring. It won't ever stop as those who do this think it is ok. It doesn't impact them but at the end of the day it does. Pricing in supermarkets includes the need to write off spoilt products.

For a bit of fun and to stop shop lifters which are people that feed themselves or kids I follow them through to the checkout and ask if they are going to pay for the goods or drinks they or their kids consumed during their visit. Makes it awkward for them but fun for me.

I once noticed two people eating chocolate and saw them disposing the wrappers.
I called security and reported them, telling him where the wrappers were and gave my name as a witness.
As far as I'm concerned, eating something and not paying, is as good as stealing!

It's hard to understand how people can be so selfish and lazy. At least leave it at the checkout where a staff member will dispose of it, if you can't take it back to its rightful place. Don't just dump it.

They probably do the same with the trolleys. "Somebody else's problem". Unbelievable!
