For many years I did lecturing at TAFE as a side hustle to my main job. The year Big Brother was introduced ALL lecturers, irrespective of their stream, were told they had to watch Big Brother, without fail. Their rationale was that the students would be learning a lot about human relations on that show and the lecturers had to be abreast of what those lessons were. I wasn’t very obedient I’m afraid, 15 minutes was more than long enough.

You lasted longer than my 10 minutes. I watched once out of curiosity and saw fame-hungry wannabes pretending there was no camera in the room, acting badly and unable to converse normally because they knew they were being filmed. I found it as embarrassing as watching a bunch of spoilt brats in a school play. Reality it certainly was not.
