If you’re an Everyday Rewards member, get ready to reap even more rewards thanks to Woolworths’ latest offering.
The supermarket giant has announced a brand new way for its customers to save money, and it involves its popular rewards scheme, Everyday Rewards.
Under the retailer's new scheme, rewards points can now be earned while shopping on MyDeal — a separate Woolworths Group business that offers discounts on a range of products such as furniture, appliances, and homewares.
As part of a special launch offer, customers who link their Everyday Rewards card to MyDeal will receive a one-time 2000-point bonus — which is equivalent to $10 — on their Everyday Rewards accounts.
To get the bonus points, customers must ‘ensure that (their) registered Everyday Rewards account is linked to (their) MyDeal account at checkout prior to completing (their) transaction’, according to MyDeal.
The promotion also requires at least $100 to be spent in a single MyDeal transaction for customers to qualify.
The Everyday Rewards Offer from MyDeal is available until Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
For Everyday Rewards General Manager Glenn Baker, the development is a win for many loyal customers.
'Our Everyday Rewards members are already saving hundreds of dollars every year by boosting bonus point offers, shopping partner offers in the Everyday Rewards app and redeeming fuel discounts,' he said.
'Every month, 1.3 million Everyday Rewards members save at least $10 off their shop.'
‘With millions of products available at MyDeal, Everyday Rewards will deliver even more value to members by earning points on more of the everyday products and brands that they need and want.’
MyDeal CEO Sean Senvirtne agrees and says that the brand is 'serious about value and bringing the best offers to our customers'.
'Becoming a part of the Everyday Rewards program means that not only will our customers earn points with every purchase, but they're now able to use those points on purchases that matter most — whether that be money off their grocery shopping, Qantas points, or gifts.'
Aside from Woolworths and MyDeal, Everyday Rewards points can also be earned by shopping at Metro, BWS, BIG W, healthylife, PetCulture, SuperPharmacy, Marley Spoon, and Everyday Market.
Points can also be earned when shopping at Australia's largest loyalty fuel partner network, which includes over 1000 EG and Ampol petrol sites.
So, for anyone who is an Everyday Rewards member, now might be a good time to log into your account and link your card to MyDeal!
However, it would be remiss of us not to note that some members in the past have pointed out that deals posted on the online marketplace weren’t as clear-cut as they seemed.
In February of 2022, member Pam P. reached out to us via email and alerted us that a steam mop advertised as $18.99 was actually $72.99 on the MyDeal website.
Online review website SiteJabber rates MyDeal with a dismal 1.26 stars out of 5, with a majority of reviews complaining of poor quality products and bad customer service.
Though, MyDeal is rated 4.1 stars out of 5 on Product Review and 4.3 stars on Trustpilot so the jury is still out.
Last September it was reported that Woolworths Group completed its acquisition of an 80.2 per cent stake in MyDeal, so hopefully service has improved along with the change of ownership.
On the topic of Woolies’ customer programs, one shopper who went for their Everyday Extra program was all smiles after her amazing savings haul just two days after signing up.
Woolies is also offering a four-week back-to-school promotion in its Everyday Rewards program that offers up to 10x points boost for select brands, so be sure you don’t miss it!
So, what do you think about this development from MyDeal and Woolies’ popular Everyday Rewards program? Will you take advantage of the one-time 2000-point bonus or is it a ‘no deal’ for you?
