Score big savings at Woolworths with this amazing Everyday Rewards hack

If you’re an Everyday Rewards member, get ready to reap even more rewards thanks to Woolworths’ latest offering.

The supermarket giant has announced a brand new way for its customers to save money, and it involves its popular rewards scheme, Everyday Rewards.

Under the retailer's new scheme, rewards points can now be earned while shopping on MyDeal — a separate Woolworths Group business that offers discounts on a range of products such as furniture, appliances, and homewares.

As part of a special launch offer, customers who link their Everyday Rewards card to MyDeal will receive a one-time 2000-point bonus — which is equivalent to $10 — on their Everyday Rewards accounts.

To get the bonus points, customers must ‘ensure that (their) registered Everyday Rewards account is linked to (their) MyDeal account at checkout prior to completing (their) transaction’, according to MyDeal.

The promotion also requires at least $100 to be spent in a single MyDeal transaction for customers to qualify.

The Everyday Rewards Offer from MyDeal is available until Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

For Everyday Rewards General Manager Glenn Baker, the development is a win for many loyal customers.

'Our Everyday Rewards members are already saving hundreds of dollars every year by boosting bonus point offers, shopping partner offers in the Everyday Rewards app and redeeming fuel discounts,' he said.

'Every month, 1.3 million Everyday Rewards members save at least $10 off their shop.'

‘With millions of products available at MyDeal, Everyday Rewards will deliver even more value to members by earning points on more of the everyday products and brands that they need and want.’

MyDeal CEO Sean Senvirtne agrees and says that the brand is 'serious about value and bringing the best offers to our customers'.

'Becoming a part of the Everyday Rewards program means that not only will our customers earn points with every purchase, but they're now able to use those points on purchases that matter most — whether that be money off their grocery shopping, Qantas points, or gifts.'

Aside from Woolworths and MyDeal, Everyday Rewards points can also be earned by shopping at Metro, BWS, BIG W, healthylife, PetCulture, SuperPharmacy, Marley Spoon, and Everyday Market.

Points can also be earned when shopping at Australia's largest loyalty fuel partner network, which includes over 1000 EG and Ampol petrol sites.

So, for anyone who is an Everyday Rewards member, now might be a good time to log into your account and link your card to MyDeal!

However, it would be remiss of us not to note that some members in the past have pointed out that deals posted on the online marketplace weren’t as clear-cut as they seemed.

In February of 2022, member Pam P. reached out to us via email and alerted us that a steam mop advertised as $18.99 was actually $72.99 on the MyDeal website.

Online review website SiteJabber rates MyDeal with a dismal 1.26 stars out of 5, with a majority of reviews complaining of poor quality products and bad customer service.

Though, MyDeal is rated 4.1 stars out of 5 on Product Review and 4.3 stars on Trustpilot so the jury is still out.

Last September it was reported that Woolworths Group completed its acquisition of an 80.2 per cent stake in MyDeal, so hopefully service has improved along with the change of ownership.

Key Takeaways
  • Woolworths supermarket has announced a new way for Everyday Rewards members to save money.
  • Members will now be able to earn rewards points when they shop at MyDeal.
  • As part of a special launch promotion, members can get 2000 bonus points when they link their Everyday Rewards card to MyDeal and spend $100 or more.

Woolies is also offering a four-week back-to-school promotion in its Everyday Rewards program that offers up to 10x points boost for select brands, so be sure you don’t miss it!

Like a lot of on line shoppers we move around to get a good deal. I have shopped from my deal and other than a bit of a wait goods are ok price ok. The advertised price probably right, always checked if another country that adds a huge postage if the US. GOOD FOR WOOLWORTHS, so hard to manage with food on a pension, I go without to feed my pets. So any little discount is welcome

I have also Bought a lot from My Deal & I have always been satisfied with both the cost & quality & delivery time. I have bought Bamboo sheets, plus doonas & doona covers, kitchen goods even my favourite perfume. All were of excellent quality & workmanship. I will certainly try to buy something before the 7th of Feb so I can get onto this money saving. Wish me luck!

MyDeal leaked my information to scammers. Nothing was done, just an email from MyDeal to say my details have been compromised and , oh yeah, sorry.

I dont trust this to be honest! Not much info about what products or is this membership free, or is there a membership/subscription fee? And why do we need another Rewards program anyway? How is it different to Everyday Rewards?

I really think it is worth taking another look at this deal. I don't know if I will have $100.00 to spend by the 7th now as I promised to buy my granddaughter a ticket to see HAMILTON which has, at last, come to Brisbane for a limited season. I really love my granddaughter & as she works hard as an aged care worker & she is so good to me I feel she deserves a treat!

I shop on my deal but same thing happened to me, my details were scammed off my deal site, and then my bank account was scammed. Luckily it was only my online shopping account and never has more than $20 left in it as I transfer money as I need it. But I had to go to the trouble of closing that account and opening a new one. I never agree to store my card details on any online account, but when I went to my my deal account there were my account details in full stored. I contacted my deal and they just said sorry, sometimes this happens. I haven’t used my deal since. I, like many others can’t afford to spend $100 just to get an extra $10 on my rewards card.

Tread carefully. MyDeal customer data was hacked October 2022.

Just waiting for some legal firm to start a case against my deal for allowing customer details to be hacked, I’ll be joining it. My details were hacked from Medibank, Optus and my deal very close together. I now receive all these random emails, probably a lot are scammers, I just delete them as soon as I see them. I’ve joined the Medibank legal case as I think these big companies need to be more accountable for the way they store customer details.

Some of my data was hacked in the optus breach, an old prepaid account & fortunately very little info. I had never heard of MyDeal until an email, presumably from the optus hackers, saying my MyDeal account had been hacked.
