Goooood Morning Riddle Masters!! 🥳

Let's get to your third and final riddle for the week courtesy of member @Wandiwa and trust me, this one’s a doozy.

A butcher goes to the market with $100 cash. He has to buy exactly 100 animals. There are cows, geese and chickens for sale. A cow costs $15, a goose costs $1, and a chicken costs $0.25. He has to buy at least one of each animal and has to spend all his money. What does the butcher buy?

Isn’t that a tricky one? If you think you have the answer, post it in the comments below.

4 Cows = (4x15) = $60
30 Geese = (1x30) = $30
40 Chooks = (0.25x40) = $10

The butcher buys:

3 Cows x $15 = $45
41 Geese x $1 = $41
56 Chickens x $0.25 = $14

The total amount of money spent = $45 + $41 + $14 = $100
and the number of animals bought = 3 + 41 + 56 = 100

The butcher buys

3 Cows at $15 each = $45
41 Geese at $1 each = $41
56 Chickens at $0.25 each = $14

So the total Money spent is $45 + $41 + $14 = $100
and the No. of animals bought is 3 + 41 + 56 = 100

At first I thought that there would be many solutions to this problem but I forgot to read through the problem thoroughly. Once I had done that I came up with the right answer - which is:
3 Cows Costing $45
41 Geese Costing $41
56 Chickens Costing $14
Thereby creating
100 animals at a cost of $100

BTW where I can get these chickens - at a cost of 25 cents per chicken, that's a steal!
