Four tots were playing in the Kindergarten sandpit. “I notice that all of them but one has a number on his back," said a visitor. "Jack has 2, Benjamin 6, Leslie 6 and Brian 4. From those clues, I think I can deduce what number Terrence should carry." Can you?

I'm with you, Jennylolo.I have a problem with the emailed correct answer, in that 4 kids were in sandpit and they all had a number, therefore where does Terence fit in? He wasn't in the sandpit! So saying what would his number be how could he have a number as he was mentioned as being present. If it had said 5 in the playground and one didn't have a number only the 4 in the sandpit, then yes Terence can be included in the count, but he makes child no 5. This riddle was misleading....as I believe many also saw it this way too.
