I’d be much more impressed if the chicken component was grilled not fried!

Meat free Monday!
What absolute rubbish.
Sick to death of all this Vegetarian rubbish being pushed down our throats!
Meat free Monday is about eating less red meat & having none on Mondays to help protect against heart disease. Not everything is about converting us to be vegetarian. Besides a lot of people choose this lifestyle & I think that it’s about time food sellers started catering for them. If you don’t like an article don’t read it. And I’m not a vegetarian.

What utter rubbish. Red meat only causes issues if you over indulge.
i have been eating red meat for 70 years and my heart is perfect!

I was only pointing out the idea behind the slogan of meat free Mondays. Simply because it obviously doesn’t apply to you doesn’t make the statement rubbish. A lot of people in the community suffer from heart disease & will do whatever they need to to stay alive, even eating less red meat. But then, I don’t suppose you need to listen to anything the medical experts say, apparently being so healthy.

Actually Red meat is an important part of a humans diet, but once again In moderation.
The issue is some people don’t understand the word moderation!
The other point is that Red Rooster is mainly white meat therefore Your reasoning for introducing vegetarian menu at Red Rooster doesn’t stack up.
The main reason people suffer health issues from red meat is gluttony and the same can be said for alcohol.
The reason most people suffer illness from alcohol is the lack of self control.

Strangely enough I have no control or even care about whatever Red Rooster do with their menu but I accept the advice of heart experts that consuming too much red meat isn’t good for us. I’ll continue listening to advice given by my husband’s cardiologist about eating red meat, not yours. My brother in law has serious heart conditions & is praised for being vegetarian by his specialists as at 76 He’s keeping on top of his various ailments.

Some of the comments on here are not in good taste. Seems like the older some people get the more they think it is okay to ridicule someone who isn’t like them. Being lesbian or gay has nothing to do with plant based burgers. I am not gay or a lesbian but if I was I would be very offended by some of the comments.

I am a Red Rooster fan for a couple of reasons.
First, they have fresh BBQ un-crumbed chicken that has always been good value for our family.
Second, they offer a 10% seniors discount. Very welcome.
Now, the addition of vegetarian burgers would be welcome to many people who prefer to eat without meat products.
Mind you, I have tried the veggie burger at Hungry Jacks and it was quite nice. I might try the RR one because I have never been disappointed with the quality of their cook.
Good the choice is there.

Veggie burgers.... developed for those who hate meat but still want to eat something that looks exactly the same.

Sorta like lesbians. Hate men but strive as much as possible to look like them.
I'm vegetarian for medical reasons and have the plant based foods. It's the manufacturers that decide to make them look like meat, I just want something that's healthy and tastes good not how it looks.
