Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'unlikely' to join Royal Family for their first Christmas without the Queen

Christmas is a time for family and friends to come together and celebrate. And while spending time with loved ones is always special, there's something about the holiday season that makes it even more so.

For the Royal Family, Christmas has always been a time to come together and celebrate at their country estate in Sandringham. But it looks like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be unlikely to celebrate the holidays with the rest of the Royal Family this year.

King Charles has extended an invitation to Meghan and Harry to spend Christmas with them at Sandringham. It is understood that the couple remains ‘much loved’ members of the family, despite quitting their Royal duties almost three years ago.

However, a source close to the King revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan are ‘unlikely to attend’ this year’s annual family gathering.

Meanwhile, the Prince and Princess of Wales will be staying at Anmer Hall – the home that the Queen gave them as a wedding gift.

Although the Royal Family has spent Christmas and New Year’s at Sandringham since 1988, the past few years saw a change in their routine due to the pandemic.

And this year, as pandemic restrictions start to relax, the Royal Family are expected to celebrate their first Christmas together since the Queen’s passing.

But after Meghan described the late Queen’s funeral as ‘a complicated time’, and Harry is about to release his memoir, there may be those within the family who might prefer if the Sussexes don’t attend the family gathering.

Prince Harry’s book, titled Spare, is described as a ‘loaded’ reference to his position in the family. Specifically, as the younger brother of the heir to the throne. It is believed that the book will feature a painful detail about his mother’s tragic death, according to publishers.

According to sources close to the Duke and Duchess, members of the Royal Family were not informed of the book’s title in advance of the announcement. Meanwhile, the Spanish language version is even more ‘pointed’ after being titled En La Sombra or ‘In The Shadow’.

Some analysts predict that Prince Harry’s book launch might dictate if there’s any chance for reconciliation between the couple and the Royal Family.

A spokesperson for the King declined to comment on the book. But it seems that the royals have already been warned that Prince Harry’s memoir is ‘critical of everyone and everything’, and it is understood that they are ‘dreading’ its release.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway at Sandringham. Lights displays and ‘ambient music’ are already filling the historic country park, and festive food and drink will be on offer for guests to enjoy.

We certainly would have loved to see the family, especially Harry and William’s children, reunited for the holidays. Well, what can you say about this, members? Let us know in the comments below!

Do you really think the people of the UK and commonwealth are keen to see them?? Are they already so embarrassed by the spite and venom in Harry's book that they can't front the rest of the family?? I can just see the reply to the invite though, ..."Sorry, too busy, please forward gifts and money though..thanks"!! What a shameful pair they have become.

Yes, it would have been great to see them all re-unite, at least for Christmas, but we know who wears the pants in this relationship, don’t we?! 🤪🥴🥵

I actually can't wait for Harrys Book I feel it's going to be truthful and similar to Diana's interview.
The ROYALS ARE FAR FROM PERFECT.
Why would they spend Xmas with The Firm ... how uncomfortable would that be.
Of course they'd be uncomfortable knowing how nasty they have been... we all saw the health of the Queen spiral downwards as soon as Meghan had Harry firmly in her clutches and he was dancing to her tune!! Meghan will be wanting to give her own 'Queens speech' from Montacito Castle on Christmas day...added to her little podcast $$ maybe a couple of 'Americas Royal Family' photos to get the attention they need to keep themselves relevant and the money rolling in...eeerrr to do their charity and humanitarian work of course!! 😆

Who is perfect? Yes it would be uncomfortable for them after all the attacks on members of the family but then they have a thick skin so wouldn't surprise me to see them turn up.

While I feel that it's a shame for all involved I especially feel for the kids. They are growing up without an extended family and all that that means. Harry and Meghan should swallow their pride for the sake of the kids to enable them to have a sense of family. ;)

I think they should play happy families at Christmas for the sake of the children....they are cousins, and I think it's right that they get to know each other and have fun with each other.
Harry should remember when he was playing with his cousins at Balmoral when his mother phoned him (for the last time), but he was anxious to get back to his play, so he cut his (final) conversation short. He still regrets that choice in 1997.
I hope he thinks of this, how important family is.

Has everyone forgot Diana's interview.
And how she was treated by the Royal Family !
Diana's famous quote ' There were three in this marriage '

Charles cheated on her from the start with a married woman with 2 children

Diana could have married someone who truly loved her and most likely would be alive today.

Have we forgotten how Prince Phillip had a number of mistresses including his Godsons wife.

Have we forgotten what Andrew was involved with ... human trafficking and sleeping with under-aged girls.

Have we forgotten Princess Anne is a divorcee and had her eye on current husband while still married.

It seems the only perfect Royal child is Prince Edward .

So how can any of these judge Megan Markle or Harry ?

At least they don't try to hide their wrongs.

Maybe Harry will honour Diana and remind people what the Royals did to her

How in the hell did Charles become King when he did worst than his uncle who chose an already divorced lady with no children
Charles committed Adultery as well as took a mother from her family and brought grief and sadness to his wife Diana.

I can't fathom how anyone can have any respect for the Royal family.

Read their history ,interesting reading 🙂

Find a family who do not have a few skeletons in their closets.
