Mysteriously absent again: Is Princess Catherine okay? Here's what we know!

The royal family is often in the public eye, and their engagements and appearances are meticulously planned and followed by people worldwide.

However, when a member of the royal family is absent from a significant event, it raises questions and concerns.

This is the case with a princess, who was noticeably missing from the Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace, which marks one of the most significant state occasions of the year.

Princess Catherine, at 42, has had a challenging year health-wise.

After revealing her cancer diagnosis in March, she has been largely absent from the public eye.

The undisclosed type of cancer was discovered following major abdominal surgery that the Princess of Wales underwent in January.

Since then, she has been navigating the difficult journey of chemotherapy, which, as many can attest, comes with its ups and downs.

'I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,' Princess Catherine shared in a statement.

On the bad days, the effects of chemotherapy can be debilitating, causing fatigue and necessitating rest.

On the good days, however, she wanted to make the most of her well-being.

In September, the Princess made a heartwarming return to her royal duties, sharing in a social media video that she had completed preventative chemotherapy.

Her gradual return was a beacon of hope for many who admire her resilience and dedication to her royal responsibilities.

Despite this, Princess Catherine chose not to attend the Diplomatic Corps reception hosted by King Charles.
The event, moved to November to accommodate the Emir of Qatar's state visit, is a grand affair where the royal family hosts about 1,000 diplomats and their spouses.

The dress code is traditionally white tie or court dress, with tiaras for the royal women—a spectacle of grandeur and tradition.

While the Princess of Wales was absent, other royal family members, including Queen Camilla and Prince William, were present.

At the dinner, the Queen made a grand return to royal duties after recovering from a mild chest infection that had caused her to take a week's leave of absence.

‘Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest,’ the palace said in a statement.

‘With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week, but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal.’

‘She apologises to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.’

I'm a Royalist from way back but I would never call her my Queen, i'm disgusted that she's known as that. She can forget my curtsy, I would turn my back on her!

"Since Charles became King last September, the major change in rules has been that Camilla is now ahead of Anne in the pecking order. All royal women must now curtsy to her. And, since she is the most senior royal, at the top of the pecking order, she does not need to curtsy to any other female royal."

I love that because Catherine refuses to curtsy for her..
I will say it over and over, Camilla was an adulter and caused Princess Diana nothing but heartache. So many people have forgotten already what her and Charles did .
Good on Catherine for not curtsy to her. Maybe William and Catherine haven't forgotten how his mum was treated

Thank you Tugnets 37. my sentiments .. I cannot stand the Woman.. I change channels when
There is anything about HER on the news..
Obviously not a lot of loving and forgiving sentiment in this world or indeed in these posts. Camilla is an elderly woman who was always the love of Charles's life. Ridiculous royal protocol insisted he get married, unfortunately not to his real and only love. Camilla has had to bear the stigma of this for years. She does a lot of good work and was given the title of Queen Consort by the late Queen herself who thought highly of her.

Her Majesty "The Queen" is not the Queen, sorry. She is Queen Consort. The Queen is dead.
If you're referring to Camilla, she's Queen Camilla. It's an arrangement I believe she made with Charles. Ordinarily she would have been designated Queen Consort, yes - especially after all the consorting Charlie and she accomplished while they were married to other people. (And good luck to them!)

What, you don't believe she coughed into her hands then shook hands with other people? It was on the news!
It was on the news? I'll resist sarcasm and simply point out that the news, whatever its brand, is not the most reliable source of information. Even if they showed a clip, news programmes unconscionably edit their videos to create a completely different story. Beware!

If you're replying to me then my OPINION stands, she recently had that chest infection and coughed into her hands then shook hands with people, not sanitizing them first. That is disgusting, even us lay folks know not to do that!
If video footage exists then I'm suspicious. The producer may well have edited out the sanitiser. For "time constraints." I'm no royalist but I do know they have meticulous standards: the action described does not seem in keeping with their usual behaviour. I'd really like to see the uncut footage!
