Mysteriously absent again: Is Princess Catherine okay? Here's what we know!

The royal family is often in the public eye, and their engagements and appearances are meticulously planned and followed by people worldwide.

However, when a member of the royal family is absent from a significant event, it raises questions and concerns.

This is the case with a princess, who was noticeably missing from the Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace, which marks one of the most significant state occasions of the year.

Princess Catherine, at 42, has had a challenging year health-wise.

After revealing her cancer diagnosis in March, she has been largely absent from the public eye.

The undisclosed type of cancer was discovered following major abdominal surgery that the Princess of Wales underwent in January.

Since then, she has been navigating the difficult journey of chemotherapy, which, as many can attest, comes with its ups and downs.

'I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,' Princess Catherine shared in a statement.

On the bad days, the effects of chemotherapy can be debilitating, causing fatigue and necessitating rest.

On the good days, however, she wanted to make the most of her well-being.

In September, the Princess made a heartwarming return to her royal duties, sharing in a social media video that she had completed preventative chemotherapy.

Her gradual return was a beacon of hope for many who admire her resilience and dedication to her royal responsibilities.

Despite this, Princess Catherine chose not to attend the Diplomatic Corps reception hosted by King Charles.
The event, moved to November to accommodate the Emir of Qatar's state visit, is a grand affair where the royal family hosts about 1,000 diplomats and their spouses.

The dress code is traditionally white tie or court dress, with tiaras for the royal women—a spectacle of grandeur and tradition.

While the Princess of Wales was absent, other royal family members, including Queen Camilla and Prince William, were present.

At the dinner, the Queen made a grand return to royal duties after recovering from a mild chest infection that had caused her to take a week's leave of absence.

‘Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest,’ the palace said in a statement.

‘With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week, but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal.’

‘She apologises to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.’

I will say it over and over, Camilla was an adulter and caused Princess Diana nothing but heartache. So many people have forgotten already what her and Charles did .
Good on Catherine for not curtsy to her. Maybe William and Catherine haven't forgotten how his mum was treated
Camilla wasn’t an adulterer all on her own though…. I mean Charles was at the least playing dirty too……. And I’m quite certain he didn’t apologise to Diana for sneaking around with Camilla….. I was never sure exactly why Camilla was the only one of the pair to be vilified but Charles got off almost Scot free…..However Camilla should never have been given the title of queen…I mean she’s Charles’s everything and they certainly look very happy….. not Queen…..it would be more acceptable to title her as Queen Consort…and she shouldn’t be curtsied to by anyone….

Will you say over and over that Diana was also an
adulterer.
Charles and Camilla at least had only each other. If my memory serves me right Diana had more than one.
Or do you just believe what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
Poor Diana was just a silly young girl who married a man who, she must have known, did not love her
It was a disaster before it even started

Methinks one curtsies to the office, not the person. Like a salute.

Camilla is NOT Queen - our Queen died last year. Camilla is Queen's consort and I do wish they would stop referring to her as Queen Camilla. Very annoying
Who cares, Queen, Queen Consort, why get so uptight about it, it makes no difference to our lives. So many far worse things to worry about.
Cheers up and have a nice day 🌞

I'm sad to say she and Charles view it differently. Camilla, like it or not, is Queen Camilla, not Charlie's queen consort.

Yes…of course you do…You recognise and respect the position one holds and not the person who holds it, I just thought everyone knew that….sadly though I don’t think there are many who would hold with it these days. I was lucky enough to meet the late Queen Elizabeth in the mid eighties….to take her hand, have a little conversation and enjoy lunch in her company, one of no more than 30 others, my little group was tasked with entertaining her bodyguard…I even have the photos…….The wives in the group practiced many times before the event, how to address her properly, correct etiquette and yes, how to curtsy…….but being right in front of her holding out her hand to me…well everything just went out the window, I couldn’t remember how to correctly say Ma’am or how to curtsy correctly, I couldn’t even remember what she said, although she did take time with my husband……It didn’t help either that 2 friends and I had enjoyed some champagne at home before we even got to camp…… 🙆‍♀️🤦‍♀️……..the memories are still with us…

An incomparable experience! Good onya 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

Chemotherapy can cause constant vomiting. Some cannot tolerate even the minutest trace of some food at all. I know somebody who could not tolerate any traces of tomato or she started vomiting constantly in a matter of minutes.

I would not read too much into this. As was said there are good days and bad days. If this were an evening event it is understandable that by the end of the day the fatigue sets in. Let's celebrate her recovery and give the Princess of Wales time to recover - it is a long journey.
Chemo can also cause constant vomiting, not only nausea and continuous fatigue
