My Introduction

Hi to all of you. My name is Wayne but I tend to go by my old school days nickname of Hieme. I prefer the less formal. I live on the Sunshine Coast and my latest hobby is silversmithing. I'm a member of Ivanhoe Memories on Facebook - if that is not too revealing. Cheers all.

Hi Hieme! What do you usually make with your silversmithing? Thats so fascinating. Do you have any pictures?

Hi Darling. I'm only new to Silversmithing. At my age its so much easier than wielding a chainsaw or operating heavy machinery. My youngest daughter talked me into doing it a couple of months ago. I've made a few things so far. I'll attach a couple of photos for you. Two rings, an Anklet and a curb chain bracelet. Unfortunately the photos of other things are too big to load. Have a lovely day.

Oh my goodness! You can't possibly be new to this. These are too good  I really love the rings. What stones are those?

The yellow is actually a beautiful Citrine. The pink one is a Moisonite. The files are too big to load of the bracelet and necklace that I am really proud of, unfortunately. I'm proud of my achievements so far. Thank you for your kind words.

If you'd like to, you can reduce the image sizes on this site : https://www.reduceimages.com/

If not, no harm done! Based on the pictures you've posted they are probably amazing. What were you doing before that required the chainsaw?

Welcome @Hieme

My partner and I were in the sunshine coast earlier in the year (between lockdowns) and loved it... I really enjoyed Eumundi but I'm worried the humidity would be a killer during summer...

Humidity is extreme at times. Especially after heavy rains and the sunshine heats up the ground and draws the moisture out. I grew up in dry old Melbourne but I am used to the humidity now. For me, Melbourne is Home but the Sunshine Coast is Heaven.
