My older kids, in their 40`s, and my teenager have had to put up with me calling myself Mom since their birth. It has got to do with having a former boyfriend that was American. blame Microsoft/ Windows for the spelling errors that we constantly see and for the fact that the younger generations spell most words incorrectly as the automatic red line through a word if it is not spelt the American way has them believing that the English language spelling is incorrect.
