As a tight a*se, I like to know I get value for my money. If I get to try something for one year for free, I then know if it is worth it or not and if not, then I haven't wasted my money. Win, win.

I've looked at a membership many times but I haven't been able to buy it because something else always needs my money urgently e.g. grandkids Christmas presents and medical bills.

Love reading the SDC newsletters over breakfast and enjoy putting my 2 pence worth in every so often.
As a pensioner couple we are doing OK. Not “well off” but just OK.
We would love to win the years membership but looking at other replies I can see that there are many people more in need of the free reward than we are.

I am retired with no income so I cannot afford to subscribe to anything at all, needing to save my money for essentials, but I would love a membership so I could take full advantage of the SDC site and all the great activities and competitions. It's the only way it could happen, sadly.

I have had one of those years, I have nearly lost my husband of 47 years, twice now through infection in his blood! He now has a bad heart, kidneys and a whole lot more! So with hospitals and all those Specialists it has been a bit hard this year! But I have been able to read all the items on this SDC on my tablet while sitting at the hospitals! So even if I can't win this competition, I can still enjoy reading all the articles on this forum. And no I can't afford to buy my membership, sorry hubby comes first!!
