Stores like that will shut if not enough customers spend $. Our local Target closed years ago for the same reason. It was years before covid. People were annoyed and said they still shopped there, but obviously not enough on a regular basis.

I'm not surprised!!! Hubby and I have visited Kmart Port Adelaide a couple of times lately and have noticed that their stocks are very low or non-existent, the store in general is not very inviting in need of a reno, messy and only the self serve registers are open.

Here we go again not only bank closing down along with the ATM has anyone thought about those people who live in the rural areas but now retail businesses , is this going to be the norm now, I though we were a prosperous country, but seems not, we are a all paying more and companies are still making huge profits, but obviously they are not making enough profit. Just wonder if these multi million dollar company’s pay their tax here i. Australia or are they privileges. To have off shore accounts, so pay no tax or very little tax .
Our country is in trouble but the government keeps telling us to tighten out belts and stop spending but I don’t see them suffering like the lower and middle income people are, we don’t have that money tree planted I our back yard.

Every cost increase is less food on the table.
