An update.

Last weekend marked the six month point on our journey. It has been smooth sailing all the way with Debra showing me the sights of south western Western Australia down to Albany, Denmark, Busselton and Bunbury. Such beautiful coastal geography to take in!

I love cooking for Debra and she loves what I cook. I haven't mucked up a single meal. Amazing!

We hardly spend a moment apart and have no signs of tiring of each other. Total Bliss!

I am very happy for both of you ,you sound like you compliment each other very well.
I do get the feeling that Vegie is a bit like a turtle , tough on the outside but soft and sweet on the inside.

Thanks @Marilynne. He can get grumpy at times (as I do too). He has strong views and not afraid to express them. All part of his charm. I wouldn’t ever want to change him.

Love, love, love it - not wanting to change a person is the {in my humble opinion} the pinnacle of a loving secure relationship or as my husband puts it "going with the flow" {he hasn't tried to change me in 46 years}. I am so excited for the both of you.

Congrats to both of you.

I had one little (only tiny though) clash/disagreement on here with Veggiepatch some time ago. Nothing too serious and I’ve long since forgotten what it actually was about!!. So once more, my congrats to you both.

My husband and I only exchange a card on this day nowadays (sometimes two cards!) but year 58 coming up in September so I’m very, very grateful and thank God for him and his undying love. Gifts are just that, a material thing, but a person’s love and nature are what matters. I’m the cranky one sometimes, not him.
