Hi I'm peter retiree at 69 you can help me find someone who can do my will for free pls as I'm a pensioner
Welcome to the SDC community, Peter! It’s lovely to have you with us. Thanks for reaching out — it’s a smart move getting your will sorted, and it’s great that you’re looking ahead. While we can’t provide legal services ourselves, there are a few community legal centres and public trustees around Australia that offer free or low-cost will services for pensioners. It might be worth checking with your state’s Public Trustee office or a local community legal centre to see what’s available near you or I would really recommend posting it on our forum so that other members can see and comment on your thoughts. Feel free to make a thread here: https://seniorsdiscountclub.com.au/forums/members-helping-members.29/
Here's to more adventures and great conversations! Cheers!

Hi, I am Bob from Albion Park.
Has anyone wondered why we do not see any pensioners become politicians.
Because we think we are too old to step out, but that is definitely not the case. We have more WISDOM than the younger people who are taking Councilor positions and just looking for the "letters before their names" to climb up the corporate ladder. We SENIORS , I feel can make far better decisions because of all the knowledge and experience we have gained over the years. GO GO GO SENIORS

I'm thinking I might have to write my Memoirs. I am a single mother who has had to bring up our 3 children. However, I don't want to go there. I brought the children up in Portland with no family. I moved back to Mrlbourne when they all left home to find their way in life. My 3 children are doing very well. All paying off their homes; have good jobs and I have grandchildren. What more could I ask for. I became a Property Manager, among other Managerial positions, plus meagre jobs as well.
And have paid off my home by myself.

Hi Josie, a big welcome to the SDC forum! It’s lovely to have you here, and thank you for such a lovely introduction. Just to clarify, we aren’t affiliated with any government services and we don’t issue membership cards ourselves. However, we’d be more than happy to help you apply for a Seniors Card if you’re interested! The great news is that most of the discounts we feature in our daily newsletter and here on the forum don’t require a card to be redeemed. But if you're looking to make use of the offers in our eBook, those do require a government-issued Seniors Card. If you already have a concession card, you might be eligible! Just let me know which state or territory you're in, and I’ll point you in the right direction to apply.
And yes please, we’d absolutely love to see some of your favourite recipes and artworks! Feel free to share them with the community. Here's to more adventures and great conversations! Cheers!

Hi @JENROBLUK , and welcome to the SDC forum! You've raised a really interesting point, and I reckon a lot of people would agree with you. Life experience and a bit of wisdom go a long way when it comes to making thoughtful decisions, especially in leadership roles. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it’s a great reminder that age shouldn’t hold anyone back from making a difference. GO SENIORS indeed! Here's to more adventures and great conversations! Cheers!

Wow, what an inspiring journey, thank you so much for sharing it with us! Writing your memoirs sounds like a brilliant idea. You've clearly lived through so much, and your story could resonate with and inspire many others. Raising three children on your own, building a career, and managing to pay off your home on your own, what a remarkable achievement! You should be incredibly proud. It’s lovely to hear that your children are thriving and that you’ve got grandkids to enjoy now too. Sounds like you’ve built a beautiful life through determination, strength, and love.
