Hello everybody. My name is Jean-Claude Ami and I am delighted to join the Seniors Discount Club. I am a semi-retired Tax Accountant after so many years of hard work and looking forward to be part of this community.

Hello Jean-Claude @Jca01! Thanks for the kind words, we're also happy you joined :D My, that sounds like a difficult job (spoken as someone who has never been a favourite of maths, haha!) Congratulations too on your semi-retirement, and I hope you find more time to relax and pursue your other passions :D
Nettie5 here, I’m new.
Hope you all have a happy safe Easter
Hello @Nettie5! Thank you so much for joining too and we hope you have an amazing time here. Happy Easter as well!

Hi! Newby here! (Hi Bev...Qld here).
Yes, the bakery bread slices have shrunk and so have the deli-packed meat slices. Every manufacturer are 'conforming' it's a fact of life. Worst though! Well I'm finding personally is not size, or quantity, IS quality!!! And changing recipies, especially when the packaging is stating' original recipie'. When it is clearly not. All this reduced 'salt', 'sugar' ECT, ECT! Do the stores and manufacturers think consumers are stupid??? I shop with a fully enguaged brain, thank you!!! (Well as much as I can.) Same goes for misleading price in advertising, and labeling. Shoppers ARE NOT STUPID!!! The sales stating 'discounted by', or 'savings of' prices, well who would believe them, right?! : Consumers have lots of alternatives WE do not have to buy from the obvious crocked advertising. It's our only way to save our wallets and dignity. It's simple, buy alternative, don't buy, or go elsewhere.... We will unfortunately never put an end to it but, we will slow it down slightly, by information sharing... . My rant!!!! Over for now! Help bring enjoyment back into shopping...please!

Hi, I'm Julie, living in Goulburn NSW- where the Easter Sunday temperature will struggle to reach a balmy 13 degrees today. I'm a retired teacher, although I still work from home with a few kids.
I am a keen gardener, and work in textiles of various kinds. I volunteer at a local arts and craft gallery when I'm not taking life slowly with my 2 spaniels.
