Hey Wayne - welcome! I just googled Ravenshoe - it looks beautiful. My partner and I were up in Cairns about a year ago but didn't have time to explore the hinterland... Would love to go back and have a more comprehensive look.

Is the humidity a little more bearable on the tablelands?

Hi there Jonathon, after living in Cairns for around 35 years I can assure you that the humidity and climate in this part of the tablelands is a lot more bearable. Being the highest town in Qld and so close to Cairns there is even the occaisional frost. A trip to the tablelands and even to the gulf is well worth the trip.
