Brrr... It’s been a chilly morning, hasn’t it? I’ve been bundled up and still can’t seem to shake off this cold. I’ve been feeling a little under the weather lately—nothing serious, just the kind of week where you want to stay wrapped in a blanket and sip on something warm. How about you? What do you do when you're not feeling your best? We’d love to know here, and maybe you’ll help someone else feel a bit better, too.

Mmorning on this chilly morning, when I feel under the weather, I put Vicksburg under my feet then put socks on. Sip warm black tea,blanket movies all day.

A hot cup of tea with a little extra sugar…,hot chicken soup made with real chicken or hot can tomato soup made with all milk

A cup of tea with milk and honey is the bee's knees. It reminds me of the tea my mum use to make for me when I was not feeling too good on school days. Camomile tea is another winner, soothing and calm. Next to one of these teas, a delicious toasted sandwich, lightly buttered with slices if turkey. And then you have a couple of strawberries to balance the flavours, that will put a smile on your face. Next put your feet up on a foot stool, snuggle up with a warm blanket on the sofa, and put your favourite TV show on, but not too loud, because soon you will feel so relaxed and gently enjoy a pleasant nap.

Well right now l am very sore l have shingles under my left arm and left side of my back. My son took me to the doctors and l pulled a ligament in my leg trying to get back into the car so now my leg collapses when l try to walk.
l have my family who take good care of me so thats all l need sucky as it sounds

Hope no-one else has or gets shingles .Keep up with the vitamins apparently you get shingles when your immune system is down.

It was 0.2 in gympie QLD this morning
A bit nippy but after 20 yrs in Canberra I am not bothered with a nip in the air. It is actually refreshing. I never have cold feet either.

Ebby,I am very sorry to hear that you have all this discomfort. Calamine lotion goes a long way to soothe the itch of shingles.
I have 3 daughters, 1 had shingles at around 6 yrs of age after falling backwards of a swing and causing trauma to her back, and again later in her 20s for no obvious reason.
My younger daughter contracted shingles 3 months after having an epidural injection during childbirth. It came across her head and caused severe issues with her eye.
I have witnessed shingles in aged care facilities as well. I encourage everyone to have the shingles vaccine, as it can be debilitating.
Take care of yourself.

Dear member Shellface, I also find that resting just after when taking my meds, gives it time for the meds to take affect. That way when I get up, the meds are well on their way decreasing my pain, and I am not in as much pain. Good Karma to you always, God bless,

I’ve had shingles twice in a year and I’m surprised the doctor didn’t give you a prescription for cortic-ds-1percent cream for the painful itch. Also you can get from the chemist alpha Keri cleanser and cream without a prescription works as well. Calamine lotion doesn’t work as well as these trust me I know. Did the ligament as well behind my replacement hip told takes 4 weeks expect longer than that and get a wheelie walker trust me you’ll need it I’m still using mine at times. Ain’t life grand take care and you can’t have the shingles injection for 12 months as it’s in your system. Anyway chin up stay safe and keep on smiling.

Thanks for your advice.You poor dear getting shingles twice in a year! Apparently if you had chicken pox as a child you can get shingles later especially if your immune system is down.Best to make sure you take all your vitamins . You take care too
