I Googled spoonerism, I didn't think it was a real word ..... reversal of the initial letters or syllables of two or more words, such as “I have a half-warmed fish in my mind” (for “half-formed wish”) and “a blushing crow” (for “a crushing blow”). If you already knew that was a spoonerism, then you have a very good grasp on the english language. Is that a Spoonerism?
When I was about 13, Mum bought a new fridge. I was checking it out when the freezer door closed unexpectedly. I yelled out and Mum said "What's wrong?"I Googled spoonerism, I didn't think it was a real word ..... reversal of the initial letters or syllables of two or more words, such as “I have a half-warmed fish in my mind” (for “half-formed wish”) and “a blushing crow” (for “a crushing blow”). Never got a wooden spoon etc... but got my mouth washed with soap on a few occasions. When I was about 13, Mum bought a new fridge. I was checking it out when the freezer door closed unexpectedly. I yelled out and Mum said "What's wrong?"
I replied "I got my sting-gers f**k". That afternoon I learned what a spoonerism was.
