Sharing her secret on a popular Facebook group, the mum revealed that all she needed to do was spray the $1.30 Ultra Pre-Wash Stain Remover from Coles all over her daughters' shoes before throwing them in the washing machine.

And just like that, they were transformed into a pair of super clean shoes that look almost new again!

'Coles stain remover - only $1.30 and works amazingly,' she wrote. 'Chucked my girls’ school shoes through the wash and came out looking almost new. Definitely impressed.'

She later admitted that she usually also uses laundry detergent to clean shoes but she forgot to do so this time. So instead, she used the spray alone.

'I usually do but I forgot this time,' she said. 'So this was just sprayed. I’ve never seen it get sneakers so clean.'

the only problem with machine washing the runner type shoes is it loosens the glue on the inner sole rubber and after a while that lifts and moves around makes the shoes hard to wear
