Car or Covid recovery medication?6 days out from Christmas and I have Covid and can’t go anywhere until my Rats test say I’m clear.Covid Recovery medications are the best practical gift,as I am confined to my room while 6 others(2 parents and 4 kids ranging from 2-9yrs and 3 pet Guinea pigs)do what they do school hols and pre Christmas prep, before doing Christmas here and then in Bunderburg for the 26th being Boxing Day.I want to do right,Covid is not a gift I want to share this Christmas or this Happy New Year,so I say Good Covid cleansers are my best gift this year🙏😇🌹

My most exciting Christmas gift was an experience rather than a gift. I was travelling with my husband, sister and cousin in outback Australia and we enjoyed Christmas Day on the verandah of a deserted outback station house out towards Cameron’s Corner. We enjoyed tinned ham and a some salad in very hot weather. A real Aussie Christmas, making us realise how tough the early settlers had it.

My best Christmas present was the year my Mum was not expected to see Christmas as she had Motor Neurones Disease.
She stayed with us and allowed my brother and I to have our last Christmas with her. We had to puree all her favourite foods but she enjoyed it just the same.

Go back to 1984, What a year, What I got for christmas all in the space of a week.
My mother had an op and got the all clear, then I received my nursing state exam results,
what a wonderful feeling knowing that you have qualified and then the next day met my
husband. The hospital gave us christmas off so had a wonderful time with family, friends
and husband to be.

One of the happiest gifts that Santa bought me was a doll. I had to do chores around the house and get paid for them so that I could send some money to Santa to help pay for it. I was four years old, and very proud of my achievement. I cherished that doll until my niece was allowed to play with it and broke it about 24 years after.

My greatest Christmas was watching our 7 month old baby girl unwrap her presents and then promptly playing with the wrapping paper! (the gifts took second place that year!)

My most memorable Christmas was spending it in broken hill in 1997 eating two minute noodles in a dust storm stranded with a broken axle and not a mechanic in sight.🙀🤣

My most exciting Christmas present was in 1971 when my wife Pam gave birth to our youngest son Richard who was born on December the 17th in Hornsby Hospital NSW, I was not present at his birth but I did hang a sign on the baby viewing window that read ' Wishing all of our breeders a very happy Christmas'.

I was the youngest of four children so by the age of 7 I was used to hand-me -downs from clothing to books. We did not usually get much for Christmas as the coffers were always very empty especially at Christmas. One year I received a book of my very own sent to me by anonymous person. The title was"The wizard of Oz". I had borrowed the book from the library and I cried when I had to return it. I was so happy to finally have a book that belonged to just me. I read that book for many years at Christmas until it fell apart with use. I still love this story and still read it at Christmas.

I'd always wanted a bicycle but mum and dad couldn't afford one. Then in 1968, I had just turned 11 and my Nonna came over from Italy for Christmas. My parents and Nonna bought the bike on the condition that I would ride it to school and back. That was not a challenge as it kept me fit and I loved riding that bike until I got my licence, 7 years later. I'll never forget those 7 years!!

Exciting, maybe not but definite mayhem on Xmas morning with our 4 young children. I purchased a big red ride on car for my 2yo son. Whilst helping him open the box, which had been stored in my sisters shed due to buying it in July, I was surprised to feel something fluffy whilst pulling it out of the box. To my horror a possum had decided to hitch a ride and make himself comfortable. As you can imagine with 4 children already having opened most of their pressies there was wrapping paper and gifts covering our floor as well as a frightened possum scuttering around looking for safety. My 3 girls were complaining they didn't get a pet like their brother, whilst my partner and I were frantically trying to catch the intruder. Eventually we caught the possum and set him free in the park. This was 19 years ago but every Xmas lunch since we talk about the possum who wanted to catch a ride in the "Big Red Car"
How did I miss this one! Cracked me up!

My most exciting Christmas present was,
Getting a place to move to.
The place I was in was sold, with less than a week to find a place to live, I was envisioning living in a tent when, my property manager spoke to an owner who was renovating their granny flat. The owner rushed through the renovation to give me a roof over my head.
On the 21st December I was moved into this unit at a price that was affordable for me. I’m a disabled Pensioner so finding a place to live was very difficult. This will be my 4th Christmas here. A reminder to me how blessed I was.
