I love doughnuts and I love muffins so why not add both together?

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter , room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large egg, room temperature
- 3 cups plain flour
- 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup milk
- topping:
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Directions
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs Combine the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and nutmeg; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk until well combined.
- Fill greased muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake at 170 C deg or 150 fan-forced for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For topping, add melted butter to a shallow bowl. In another shallow bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip muffin tops in butter, then in cinnamon-sugar. Serve warm.
