It started as an ordinary morning for many shoppers in Southwest Sydney, but then they noticed something was different–about fifty people had formed a queue outside the local ALDI supermarket.
As it turns out, the German discount supermarket had just launched the latest wave of its famous ‘Special Buys’ sale. Seeing the crowd, you would never guess what the items were.
ALDI launched its latest wave of ‘Special Buys’ sale, which featured cast aluminium pots, bowls, knives, air fryers and pressure cookers.
A witness to the chaos shared a video of it on social media, which then elicited some hilarious comments.
'It’s like they have never seen pots,' one user wrote. ‘My mum drove an hour to get these pans,’ another user wrote.

ALDI has become the third-biggest player in Australia’s supermarket sector since opening its first two stores in Sydney in January 2001. ALDI was also recently named Australia's favourite supermarket (for the sixth year in a row!) by Canstar's Supermarket Satisfaction Awards.
It has since expanded to over 500 stores nationwide, with its 'Special Buys' becoming a biweekly draw card for shoppers.
The most popular item on their list? It was the Cast Aluminium Pots, which ranged in price from $22.99 to $29.99.
An ALDI spokesperson said they were 'excited to bring back Crofton Chef’s Collection cast iron pots for a limited time to help Aussies cook up delicious meals on a budget'.
ALDI also warned shoppers to 'be patient, calm, and mindful of other customers and our employees when shopping these products'. Some customers agreed, saying, 'ALDI really needs to put a limit on customers! It was a frenzy!'
