Hi Setha, Books I would recommend to you are written by Heather Reyburn. Heather lives in QLD and has written quite a few books that run in a series. So if you like Good old Australian novels with twists and turns then do yourself a favour .

Ooooh this is my favourite topic!

My recent 5-star read is Andy Weir's Project Hail Mary. I was intimidated at first (there were a lot of scientific computations than I could understand) but the story was really interesting! If you like science fiction, I highly recommend this one!

Currently, I'm reading two books, both of which I like so far:

The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk, MD - a non-fiction book that talks about the effects of trauma on the body. The author is distinguished in the field of psychiatry, and the insights in the book are enlightening.

Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt - a literary fiction book about an unlikely friendship between a 70-year-old widow and an octopus living in an aquarium. So far, I'm enjoying the chapters of the octopus!

If you have read any of these, please let me know what you think!

Also, I'm taking notes of your recommendations so thank you!

Hello, lovely members! Recently, I’ve been finding my bookshelf a little lacklustre so, I’d love it if you could help me find some new books to add to my collection. Nothing beats the feel of a book in your hands, eh? And of course, the sheer excitement of flipping through those pages and experiencing a beautifully written story for the first time—creases and all.

You could try something by that little-known Australian author, Sue Bagust (which is me). I'd love to get your feedback. Here's a link to one of my novels so you can check it out https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B00HOQSH4O

If you can possibly source it, It's named the Autobiography of a Flea! it's Vitorian era porn very funny even though its porn! about the life a flea. Honestly I couldn't put it down for laughter. Another one if you can get hold of it is the Last Escape and it's set in a prison in NSW I wish I could tell who the authors were but I'm afraid I've forgotten their names.
