P.S probably a stupid question - but how do you actually go about 'harvesting' the garlic?
 
I'm not very technically savvy.....that's all I know what to do with the photos, sorry.
Self-sown garlic plants certainly attracted the bees.
When about 40% of the lower leaves have started to go brown and die off, the plants are ready to harvest. The stems were more than 1.6 metres high.
Two plants, 2 bulbs. Each bulb contains many cloves.
I'm allergic to the allium family of vegetables, which includes garlic, onion, spring onion, leeks, chives, garlic and onion powder in gravies etc so gave the cloves to my sister.
