According to what we can see in the video, the resort's famed pool appeared to be extremely dirty, and the entire island was littered with broken furniture and empty facilities. We can also see that the whole area wasn't well taken care of because several rubbish bins were overflowing with waste and food scraps.

Even eating in peace was impossible for tourists and guests because seagulls were terrorising the dining area!

In a lengthy caption that they posted with their video, the Aussie couple also mentioned that the room they booked was unkempt and dirty (there were ants everywhere), and also, the food served in the restaurant was not enough for everyone.

To make matters even worse, they also alleged that a member of the staff was rude and even went as far as to insult their baby, Jiah.

Mish and Kirk continued by saying that they wished they had done more research before reserving their stay because the resort wasn't as nice as it looked in the marketing materials.

'False marketing images show white sand beaches - there is no sand on this island, only rocks and coral since cyclone Debbie in 2017,' they said.

'If you don't book dinner a week in advance, you won't get a table at the restaurant, and they don't offer room service, so you'll have to eat takeaway pizza for seven nights straight while being attacked by seagulls.'

I stayed there in 1976, it was exclusive, totally beautiful, except there was no sand.

i would suggest it is being setup like this so people will stop going, they don't want us there, they want war ships and the like, I cannot believe it was let go to the Chinese. This is what is going to happen up North as well if we don't watch out.

I went there many years ago. With my daughter and 2 grandsons. It was really good then. The units were large and clean and comfortable. The beach had no sand but broken shells .What a pity it has rum amuck.

We had a similar experience earlier this year when we went Daydream to celebrate my 70th birthday. Every thing was a bit and band dated, We had to ask for our room to be cleaned because the floor felt sticky and damp. There were no spa services. The food was of a very poor quality. In all the trip was a total disappointment.

We stayed on Daydream island before the cyclone struck and it was a beautiful location. So sad to hear about the decline.
